Haven Lake Campground Introduce

Welcome to Haven Lake Campground, a small and tranquil camping destination located in Sierra City, CA. As part of the Campgrounds & RV Parks category, Haven Lake Campground offers a peaceful lakeside retreat for those seeking a quiet getaway.

Situated in Sierra City, CA 96125, Haven Lake Campground provides access to a scenic lakeside environment. According to customer reviews, the campground features only four campsites, ensuring a more private and less crowded experience. The sites are well-spaced, and those near the water offer ample room. The camping fee is $22 per night. Amenities include a single, clean toilet and a garbage can. Additionally, firewood is often available, possibly due to recent area cleanup.

However, potential visitors should be aware of certain conditions. Due to the proximity to the lake, mosquitoes are plentiful, so bug spray is essential. Furthermore, leeches have been observed in the lake, which may deter some campers from swimming. Despite these considerations, the campground provides a good alternative for those who find other nearby campgrounds, like Gold Lake 4x4 or Gold Lake, fully occupied.

The campground’s small size and basic amenities contribute to a rustic and peaceful atmosphere, ideal for those seeking a quiet camping experience. The spacious sites and lakeside setting make it a desirable location for relaxation and enjoying nature.

For local users seeking a quiet and secluded lakeside camping experience, Haven Lake Campground offers a peaceful retreat. Be prepared for mosquitoes and potential leeches in the water. Plan accordingly and bring necessary supplies for a comfortable stay.

Small campsite (4 spots) and there is good space between the sites and the site I chose by the water was large. Fee is $22/night. There is a single toilet which was clean and garbage can. Wood was stacked throughout the campsite, I suppose from recent area cleanup. Was trying to camp Gold Lake 4x4 or Gold Lake with no reservation but they were both full. This was nearby and the best I could do before nightfall. Would've given it 5 stars but I went to the lake to get water to drown my campfire and shone my light in the water and 4-5 large leeches greeted me. I had hoped to go in the water, but no thanks. Leeches creep me out. Bring bug spray, mosquitos are plentiful which is to be expected of areas close to water.
