It's a rocky, one-lane drive to get here. But wow is it great. Be careful not to think that you're going to the main overlook when driving here. This area if the state park (aka the Rail Trail) is at water level and does not connect to the main area of the park with the lodge and overlooks. Nonetheless it's a great, private, and serene area if the park to see. Definitely recommend.
Incredibly gorgeous and secluded. From 9pm until 9am, you are the only inhabitants in this area. These tents had toilets and Tempurpedic mattresses! Located next to running river, these were WELL worth the nightly price.
We had a great stay! The spot was exactly as described. The attentive groundskeepers made sure we were comfortable. I loved that we had the whole area to ourselves and the proximity to the water. I can't wait to go back again!
I’d love to give this place five stars because it is absolutely beautiful and picturesque. The tent with the front porch and the Adirondack chairs really cool, bed was comfortable, it was convenient to have your own toilet, picnic table cabinet and fire pit. Absolutely love all of that! However, yes there’s trains that run all night, every hour on the hour extra long boxes on this coal moving fright train. I felt like I was in Brooklyn or Newark so far as the amount of train noise pollution. It’s a shame and in speaking to the other campers we can’t help but feel ripped off because this was not disclosed and that is not cool. Shame on you tenttrr.
Stayed in another tentrr site a short distance from here not this one in particular. Tentrr customer service is trash. The host was nice enough but he is just a contractor with limited means. The sites are crammed on top of each other. If there's other campers don't expect peace and quiet. Whining toddlers, barking dogs.... Yikes. Thin mattresses with slat platforms left us sore, the train kept us sleepless. Better off dispersed camping and bringing your own tent.
