This is a recap from a previous stay here 3 yrs ago. For the most part, the sites are level. Some are short and at a slant. Be careful on the site you chose. Some next to the water's edge are short and slant down. For a class A, we were in site 50, a great spot that's level. Site 48 is next to it also good for a class A. All sites are 30 amp. If you don't have a few hoses to get your tank filled, just stop at one of the faucets by the road. The dump station is out by the entrance. This will be our place to stay next year. A mile and a half or so is an Apple store for food, and close to it are subway, fuel, and a laundry mat.
I love the beach here I usually go too with a big rock I sit and lay on next to it and tan on.this time I went to camp and fished a bit.i didn’t catch anything but had great views of sun rises I ever seen and cranes and pelicans and boats.i went on the skull hollow nature trail and enjoyed it.the service and bathrooms were taken care of great and the cooking are was nice to use.
Beautiful park. No one works on Tuesday and Wednesday. Gate closes at 10 pm, no code so you better be back from Tulsa by then. Electric only. Water available to fill tank, but many campers hook up to it like no one else needs water. No one around to enforce sharing of water.
Beautiful place to camp and enjoy the lake. Great fishing dock! Cozy campground with great view of the lake.
Great campground, the camp hosts were great. Clean restrooms and showers. Stoped here for a week on our way back to Arizona, beware the rocoon Mafia first night they got into our ice chest and stole our sirloin steak and our fudge from Uranus .
This is a beautiful campground! I had a wonderful time camping 2 nights here. The staff is so helpful and friendly and they keep the campground and bathrooms so clean! There is a walking trail that goes along the lake with beautiful views! It was a much needed peaceful weekend by the campfire at the lake. ❤️
Nice campground. Bring your levelers. And water spigots at a few locations around the park. No sewer connection but there is a dump station. Beautiful views of Lake Oologah. Ladies at the gate are so kind and personable and make you feel welcome. Cleanest bathrooms and showers of all the campgrounds we have ever been to. That is thanks to 2 very hard working young ladies named Keleigh and Cheyenne.
First impression was not great, we had reserved a lot that was advertised as having shade but this ended up not being the case, there were no trees close enough to the lot to provide shade. The out house style toilets were out of toilet paper and the shower building toilet was clogged and overflowing (mens side). We stayed one night at the camp ground and the evening/ night was the worst part. There was no shade over our lot but there was a street light that was on all night which was about 15 feet from our tent and made it harder to fall asleep. In addition to this, the noise at night was crazy. If it was just the hum of the PSO power plant turbines and people laughing and having conversations late into the night it would have been OK but someone was running a gas generator in the camp site till almost midnight. On top of this people were blasting music in the lot 2 spots over for us. Needless to say it was a nearly sleepless night. I would not recommend going here for a proper camping experience. Overall very negative experience.
Talk about clean, this place is up kept and the bathroom are super clean even during the busy season. Would highly recommend.
