One of my most favorite places for a spur of the moment camping trips. Far enough away but close enough that the drive home doesn't feel like a half a day. Kids still get the memories and that's all we are trying to build.
Camped out there for years by the out house that is provided no problem till today never have I been treated like an outlaw by the glade park volunteer fire department for a small fire to make coffee at 5pm hadn't gotten out our cook stove which is keep in my truck so bears if one does come in can't smash it up they killed the camping experience for my 7 and 6 year old children which love it because to them it seems very old fashioned way of living!!! The cook stove I use is a cover the hole in ground type with steel grate to catch any ambers that may pop or fly out of it place they do not provide a proper cooking station in this site which many people have been camping there for as long as I have this place STAY AWAY FROM!!!!!THEY JUST WANT MONEY FOR REAL CAMPING
Beautiful getaway with plenty of outdoor recreation opportunities.
Heaven with a bit of bear and elk
It's nature, what's not to love? Our campsite was free, close to bathrooms, and close to one of the resavoirs. It was great.
