Just had a family reunion gathering up there today. A nice camp ground, did not see a single mosquito. Some flies, but not bad. There are bathrooms, and technically running water, but you have to pump it, it's actually pretty cool. The water is cold and tastes pretty good. There is a small area that kids can play in the creek, but no serious swimming or fishing, at least not when we were there 4th of July weekend.

Pretty nice campground. The waterway masks the highway sound nicely. SST was fly free. The benches were in ok shape: exposed rebar, wrapped seats and, "gopher" holes, but serviceable. Be mindful this is tick territory. A friend acquired a hitchhiker.

I like Hayfork...went in 2022 and had a fantastic time. Spacious, with trails, and creeks and rivers close by. Better than Granite Creek!

This is one of my favorite places to be. Absolutely beautiful creek and trees. The group campground was not reserved so we had almost the entire campground to ourselves. Very quiet and peaceful. Very little traffic noise. Great place to relax and chill in the creek.

Pretty rustic but pretty setting. RV pads are uneven and hard to level. The double sites are inadequate fir 2 RVs.
