Customer Reviews
Owner friendly and very accommodating. We extended our stay a couple of times. Sites are level and roomy. Nice laundry. Good price. It is near a busy highway so it's a little noisy.
These owners were unkind to me, and seem to only have their own interests at heart. They offered me a long term contract for $300 a month. I accepted, and the very next day they disclosed that there was a potential buyer. Theresa the owner told me none of the long term renters had been informed about the possible sale, and she was only telling me. They have been trying to sell for 7 years!!! When I asked if they had lowered the price, they said no, they had only increased the price. They gave me the name of the listing agency, so I called her to see whether a sale would include existing long term contracts. She assured me that yes, any buyer would be getting those long term lease contracts, and want that income for startup, so I would be secured for the entire season. Today the owner called to say she had no intention of including the existing contracts of 20 long term contracts in the sale, and said the realtor doesn't know what she is talking about. So glad I found out how selfish they really are. The husband is clearly threatened by professional women!
This is a quiet campground with nice mature oak trees on our site. The lay out is good. We had a pull through site it was dirt ,very little grass #53. It rained a lot the 4 days we were there. We didn’t have a camp Matt to lay over the dirt so it was a challenge to keep our camper mud/dirt free... the fire ring was very small ,but when we were able to have a fire it worked out .The showers are in desperate need of updating! The stone building is cool on the outside but the women’s showers are just very old and very outdated. Someone really loved being in there showering in the women’s and smoking weed. I think we got a contact high on a few occasions lol! The other campers were quiet and friendly. It was a good campground aside from the restroom/ showers. Had these been updated I would’ve given 5 ⭐️’s. We would 100% return if the restrooms/ showers are updated!
First impressions are everything! First you have to check in at the gas station, the check in building was all closed up. You then have to drive past a very run down, playground that is very out dated, neglected, and most of which is broken or falling apart. This was unfortunate for our 8 and 5 year olds. There was a "fish cleaning station" of sorts. While looking at the "playground" you be sure to miss the dump station. The grounds are all over grown, with weeds and there was a general lack of any ground keeping. The fire rings are small and just a pieceof metaltossed into a site. The picnic tables need the be cleaned up and repaired and painted. The lots are numbered by the road, which is nice. We had a a full hook up site so thankfully we didn't need to use the shower house. Cute on the inside, but lacking on the inside. Fortunately the place is for sale. hopefully the new owners will invest into the property not just take the money out. The campground has potential, it just needs someone there talking with the guest, and providing activities.
Bath house was dated but clean. Some sites are quite spacious. Quiet little campground even on a holiday weekend. Check in is at the gas station.
