I recently stayed at Heartland Woods again and had a fantastic time! I was a bit apprehensive at first because this was my first time staying by myself. But my experience quickly put me at ease. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. The campsites are spacious with plenty of room to spread out and relax. I was particularly impressed with how clean the entire campground was. Including the restrooms and communal areas. The staff takes great pride in keeping the place immaculate. The seclusion of the campground adds to its charm, offering a peaceful retreat from the hustle of everyday life. Overall I had a great time it is a wonderful spot for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy the outdoors. I can't wait to return and would highly recommend this place to fellow solo travelers and families alike.

We have really enjoyed coming here the first several years, but in the last few years they have done very little to no improvements. The power doesn’t work in a lot of sites and if it does it’s not true for what amp service it should be. They have only a few spots for 50amp service. If I knew what I know now I would not have signed up. This place could be better with power upgrades and water spigots that are useable and closer to camping spots.

This campground is very secluded and peaceful. The roads are dirt but they do a good job keeping them smooth. The grounds were very well-maintained and the facilities were clean. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcomed and cared for throughout our stay, It has a rustic charm.

This could be a fantastic place, but it is falling apart. Putt putt is so overgrown and floods easily. Pool liners are separating from the pool wall, so many pot holes you can barely drive through it, put $10 in the dryer and clothes never dried. Arcade hardly anything worked. Ponds are slime covered. It was quiet, people were friendly. Sites are difficult to pick out what is 30 Amp or not and where exactly you should park. Person at check in was amazing amazing and is the entire reason for the star. Without her it would be 0.

Heartland Woods has many good things: Easy check in, lovely trees, nice sites that are not on top of each other, and it's a very peaceful place. It needs updating and the roads need to be fixed, because the potholes are bad. The mini golf needs to be redone. I can't speak about the bathrooms or showers because we didn't use them. The people here are lovely and we felt very safe. There are lots of seasonal sites but they are all very well kept. The roads in the area all need to be repaved. They are very chunky. That's not the fault of the park, but it does affect the trips to and from the park.
