My family of 6(with a baby) stayed in the bunk house so comfortably! We could have easily had fit another couple in there as well. The pool and the stocked pond were so much fun with the kids! My husband and I loved having a full kitchen and bathroom. Overall it was so much better than the "camping" experience I was expecting! We will definitely be back, hopefully sooner rather than later!
Not a very warm and friendly atmosphere. Facebook page and website aren't very informative, so we were hoping for additional information when we arrived, but we were rushed through check-in, and struggled the rest of the weekend to figure out what we could and couldn't use based on the unfriendly stares or happy waves we would get from family members driving by on golf carts. Huge disappointment.
We stayed at Heavenly Hills RV park for the Luau weekend, a tradition we've done since Tievoli Hills days. The new owner Troy and Stacy are very personable. They have made numerous improvements to the Resort and campground. The restrooms in the campground were vastly improved as were the facilities at the pool. The main lodge was left to them with many issues they are working through. Troy told us there are more improvements coming. There were not as many people this year as in years past, but the wholesome setting and pleasant attitudes will bring new campers and resort visitors. The transition from alleged "memberships" in the resort frustrated previous members, who felt slighted and "pulled out", but this occurred BEFORE the new owners bought the place. So in time word will get around and there will be more visitors. We have two more trips to the RV park scheduled for this year and look forward to next year.
We can't rave about this resort and the owners enough. The guy who took our reservation was so friendly and helpful. We rented a lot for the weekend for our first camping trip of the season. I will warn, it's a work in progress as they recently purchased the property. They are working on adding an archery range and paintball range. There is a huge lake and my husband and I caught a ton of bass, crappie and blue gill. But the best part of our trip was when we needed a tool to replace our hot water heater element. The ENTIRE family came out in full force to help us. They made multiple trips to the shop until they found the right tool. And if anyone has ever had to get an element out, you know it can take multiple people to get it undone. They stayed and helped until we were done. They even offered us their own propane tanks if we couldn't find the tools. But we had our own, it was just so thoughtful. The only thing I will warn is once they start getting busy, it could be hard to back a larger camper in the spots, it's a little tight. But I still recommend them and we look forward to going back soon!
I spent 5 nights here. A nice park out in the country away from the hustle and bustle of town, very peaceful at night. Spaces are good sized, full hookups, table and fire ring. Lanes and pads are gravel, plenty of maneuvering room. I had a back in site, nice and deep. My reservation was messed up but the staff was able to work with me and find me a spot. T-moble service was barely adequate.
