Stayed at the Dome site and it was amazing. The location of the set up (on a little hill) was perfect and beautiful. There is heat and AC, we used heat bc it was chilly but it does only warm up right underneath the heater, which is mounted on top of the bed. That was fine for us but just an FYI if you plan to have ppl sleep on the sleeper sofa (it’s going to be cold for them). Cleanest pit toilets that I’ve used and nicely lit up for the night time. Highly recommend renting the dome site in the fall!
When we arrived we immediately said it looked poorly maintained. The mini golf looked like it hadn't been maintained in years. Pool had green water in the bottom and all along the walls were black. First things the owners told me were there wasn't any internet and then confirmed I signed the terms and conditions. Got to our site and set up and realized we had no picnic table. Couldn't call the host ( no internet) so drove to her site to let her know. She then came to our site and told us we were at the wrong site. Our sites numbers were laying face down in leaves under a tree. We went by the number we saw on a tree which unknown to us was the following site. She then started listing why the campground wasn't ready...no help, bad winter, no internet and said we'd have to move to the next site. We told her we weren't moving..we'd leave with a refund. No refund she immediately said. She was doing the best she could. Her son did deliver a picnic table. We didn't need to move. Showers were acceptable. Two stalls in ladies room were locked from the inside. Won't ever go back.
We stayed the weekend as we were attending a wedding in the area and it was terrible. They advertise for amenities and nothing was in operation other than the park. The pool was closed and green the entire weekend looked like it hadn't been cleaned all summer. Volleyball court wasn't functional at all net was laying on the ground, mini golf course was closed due to bees but looked like it hasn't been maintained in years! My 4yr old was very upset as she looked forward to going swimming and playing mini golf. Bought a 40oz cup for $30 with the camp logo on it and the straw was broken, when asked for a new straw the owner was rude and said no. Then proceeded to tell me she would go look in her camper and come to my site and never did. The pit toilets were HORRID! I've been in nicer pit toilets at boat landings! They do not take care of the roads in the campgrounds, potholes everywhere. The Dumpsters were overflowing. Family members rented a cabin and there were mice turds all over the beds and floor. The only thing they seem to take care of is THEIR campsite, the office, and the showers. Was a very unpleasant stay and will not be going back.
We were there for the first weekend in October It was really peaceful and quiet theres good access to the atv/utv trails only thing i didn't like is all the sites were really close together but overall good place to stay and would definitely recommend
Nice private campground! Great bathrooms and lots of amenities. Good access to state trails.
