Customer Reviews
Close by and easy to find from Highway 15 north of Helena. Clean restrooms and showers. The laundry room is clean and has enough machines for several loads at once! The sites are roomy and tidy and very close to level! There is a really nice recreation area. We make it a point to stop here when we come this way through Montana.
Good location, poor management. We had a poor experience with this KOA, not because of the facilities, but with a loud neighbor who yelled through the night. How is this KOAs fault? I'm glad you asked. Simply, we had trouble on night one so we spoke to the camper and management the next day. The manager essentially told us to stop bothering them. The other camper seemed reasonable, until night two, a repeat of night one but worse. Knowing that management would do nothing, and not feeling like getting acquainted with the local PD, we left. We ended up having to leave at 2 am so we could find a nice highway rest stop so we could sleep in our car. Edit: If you'd like to see the kind of management you're dealing with, see the business's response. Take your money elsewhere. I didn't come to Montana to have a fight with a hopped up dude in the tent next to us cuz he couldn't sleep, I came to have a good time with my wife in an area she loves. Plenty of other places to stay.
We travel a lot with our trailer and stay in KOAs overnight like one does a hotel on the highway. We expect a safe, clean and quiet environment with flat spaces for easy setup. Let's start with the good - nice staff, very quiet, close access to I-15, but not so close as to hear it and propane on site. Now for the negative. It feels safe although there are no locks on doors. The site required 2 inches of blocks, but the worse thing, and a deal breaker for both my wife and I, were the showers. They are clean but do not have a private area to dress. There is a big bench with hooks, to dress and undress. When I was undressed, a man came in to look at the showers, and there I was. He was surprised, as was I.
Great place to settle in for a few days. The park is relatively peaceful and the staff gave us a great spot when we were reserving. We requested a safe spot/place for our kids so the staff arranged for us to stay in an end spot with a tree and nice corner patch of grass. The grounds and lawn was kept nicely. The staff was very nice and helpful. I had an extended conversation with a couple of them while checking in and felt quite welcomed. Prices were reasonable. We'll be staying here again next time we come through. Thanks!
Nice level gravel sites, cement picnic area, and good amount of grass area. Clean restrooms. Nice outdoor game area and big dog park. Very quiet no highway noise. Friendly staff. Good location to city and hiking destinations.
