We stayed at this site for one night, starting and ending at the Hellroaring trailhead. The views from the trail are stunning and definitely worth seeing. The site itself was very peaceful and secluded. It's bordered by the Hellroaring river and the mountains beside it. The running water at night was a terrific white noise to sleep to. It's downfall however was the hike to and from. To get to the site, you'll need to descend a steep hillside which is very rough on the way back and either traverse roughly 4 miles of mesa plains, or to cut the trip 2.5 miles short, you have the option to ford the river. Although, be prepared to get wet. The most challenging part was keeping the mosquitos off. I was fully clothed over my entire body and still managed to get too many bites to count. If these challenges are something you're up for, I recommend this site.
The place is amazing. Lovely streams although fording the river makes the hike a lot easier but can be difficult. This place has the worst Mosquitos I’ve ever seen. I was swatting off 5-10 at all times.
