Quiet campground a few miles from a quiet village. There's a pit toilet, picnic tables, and fire pits/grills. No water or power available. At $8/night, the location is deal in Illinois. The DNR officer comes by to collect fees before dusk. He's a good fellow to chat with. The video shows a squirrel with a white back. That was a first for me.
The campground is decent. There's a place to pitch your tent, couple trees if you have a hammock, but the farmer next-door keeps a flood light on all night long which ruins any stargazing you might want to do.
Lots of maintenance work being completed. Looks great wonderful trail riding conditions. Best shape in years.
No running water or electricity in latrine but nice little primitive campground for our boy scout troop bike camping
Nice area - was muddy/slushy due to the recent thaw but otherwise a nice place
