Customer Reviews
Our family has been to the Hershey Camping Resort a number of times and we are never disappointed. We stayed in a 1 bedroom cabin this visit and it was great! We really liked having our own bathroom and shower and we saved money by cooking in the cabin. The beds were nicer than the ones in the rustic cabins. Staff is always very kind and helpful.
Went to the park during the day, the weekend before Halloween. We arrive at the campground around 11pm and security was super helpful. Showing us the cabin and shower house. We booked a regular cabin that sleeps four and we had plenty of room.. Wish we would have booked two nights to enjoy the campground and what they have to offer. Will definitely do it next time!
We’ve camped here many, many times. Some sites are great (#5), while many are tight/uneven (#57) so be prepared. If you’re close to the tracks, know that you’re really close…and the trains run constantly. Huge complaint for us every year at Halloween is that they are not clear at registration that for one hour on Saturday morning traffic should cease for trick or treating and they do not enforce it! It creates a VERY dangerous situation as many still drive their huge trucks right through trick or treating roads! Every single year.
We have stayed here multiple times over the last 14 years or so. I would, and have, recommend this campground to others. The accommodations are kept very clean and tidy. The staff here is very helpful and friendly right from the check in process at the front desk to the camp store, the cleaning staff are always friendly and do a great job, and last but not least the maintenance and grounds staff are top notch, especially “Yard Sale Jim!”
I was traveling thru and needed a place to dump my tanks. They were very accommodating and friendly. The cost was very reasonable as well.
My family and I stayed here for a week in the one-bedroom cabin, plenty of room for our family of our 3. Great location, right across from the main building and pool and short walk to the shuttle.(Cabin #21) Lots of storage, but make sure you do your research on what you need to bring with you. Our only issue was that several buttons on the microwave did not work, so we had to get creative with using it. Overall great place to stay if you are planning on visiting Hershey Park
We stayed at site 131, and we were right on the river and across from the shower house. The site was a lot bigger than the entry sites to the campground. You could hear the train, but I imagine it's way quieter than other sites. The shower house was very clean, I saw a man actually clean the outside trash cans. There was a skunk that walked around the sites one night. The shuttle service to the park was the best perk of staying at the resort, super convenient and air conditioning, and took probably 10 min to get to the park. We will definitely camp here again when we do visit another time.
Our family has been going to the Hershey park campground for 15+ years. We now stay in cabins but used to bring camper. The cabins are very spacious except the shower is a bit tight however the bath houses are kept in great condition and not far away so we usually just walk to them to shower. There is two large pools and a kiddie pool that are always monitored by life guards. If you’ve forgot something and need it in a pinch the little onsite store likely has it. We prefer the campground over the hotel or lodge because we can cook our meals rather than eat out.
Decent campground, I wouldn't call it a resort. Sites are gravel or grass. Site 2 was quite unlevel (gravel). Picnic table was horrible. Paint all splintering off, all over the underside of our tablecloth and clothes from sitting in the benches. Our covers were about 4" too short to use. Yes, I let the office know. They said they would let maintenance know. It was not switched out during our stay. Pool is nice, but they close from 2-3 to clean it. Bathhouse was nice and clean. Shuttle to Hershey Park was convenient. The train didn't not bother us. Would I stay here again? Probably not.
Traveling cross country, Hersey was on our list, so we figured off season the camp grounds would have space but we made a reservation anyway while a couple hours away. The girl at the desk was friendly and nice, she gave us information on the parks what’s closed and what’s open. Explained the space and where everything was. The Is is a good size campground with over 250 spots, it was about 25% full, so getting a perfect spot was easy. There are bathrooms and laundry through the campground. The bathrooms are clean and private showers. Each spot comes with a picnic table and a fire pit and electric hookup. There are a few spots along the river and a playground d for kids. They also have small log cabins through the grounds. The pool was closed when we were here but it looked like a beautiful spot to spend the day in the heat. I do have to mention that it is on the Railroad tracks and can be noisy, our first spot was close to the tracks and we did get use to them coming by. Kids will love it.
