Holly Jolly is BLM land and the standard 14 days, and move 20 miles and then you can come back at day 28, for another 14 days. The LTVA, has 4 areas with trash, potable water, and dump station.( south only for dump station )the LTVA ALSO HAS A 1 MONTH permit @ $40, allowing the TW&E Services. Lots of free BLM Land out there. Remember 14 days, move 20 miles, 14 day reset. Return to a previous spot after a 14 day reset. And the BLM, Border patrol, local, state and county officers, all keep an eye to inforce the 14 day rule. I provided a map of the Quartzsite LTVA map, and BLM Land is all around the outskirts of town remember pack it in, pack it out. Leave nothing but footprints 👣, take nothing but pictures. Return all artifacts to where you found them for others to injoiy too.

The Scenic Road RV Park, Quartzsite, AZ This year as an absentee ballot voter, I was thrilled to discover my ballot had arrived early at my mail forwarding service which provided the opportunity for me to retrieve my mail and Absentee ballot and cast my vote on September 26, 2024. Upon completing my ballot, I immediately drove to my County Administration Building and deposited my ballot in the locked voter ballot box. No traffic, no lines, and no hassles. The next day, September 27th I left South Dakota heading south. If I had only known prior to crossing the border from New Mexico to Arizona that temperatures ranged from the mid to high nineties, hitting 100-degress, I would have stayed in New Mexico. Instantly, upon crossing the border, I felt as if I was slapped in the face and chest with a hot towel. My motorhome seemed to retaliate against the heat. Stuff started happening such as, the smell of hot heat filled the driving pit from under the hood; coming from every vent including air-condition vents, which had been circulating cool to cold air for the last four days. The quick blasé of heat was unbearable for both Echo, my two-year-old German Shepherd and Poodle mix (Known as a Shepadoodle), and me. Who instantly begin scanning dashboard indicators which showed no problems, so I kept driving; alternating between pushing and turning dashboard controls to close and reopen vents, pushing window controls to open and close windows, while trying to calm a panic-stricken 80-pound puppy. Who had been sleeping peacefully for a few hours was now awaken by the heat. Immediately, whining and panting for air. The hot heat smell from the hood reminded me of the busted hot water pipe incident atop the highest mountain ever heading toward Flagstaff AZ, last year. Upon arrival in Quartzsite, AZ on September 30, 2024, it was 92-degress. As planned, I stayed at Hi Jolly, a 14-Day Free-Stay Bureau of Land Management federal property for one miserable night. At which Time, I discovered my onboard generator wasn’t working, which meant we had no air-condition. That night, I opened every window including emergency widows, every roof-top vent, and bungee cord booby trapped the half-opened motorhome entrance door, where both Echo and I slept with my gun nearby. The next morning, I drive to The Scenic Road RV Park, where I had previously stayed last year in AZ, to have the RV Repairman that resides at this property doing the summer season determine was damage was done to my motorhome during a crazy high-windstorm and temperature drop which forced an overnight stay in Arkansas. Which I shared in my Feb 7, 2024, Blog. As usual, The Scenic Road RV Park, Quartzsite, AZ, is a great place to stay when needing repair service. Further, full hookup is a great service to have, especially during summer. This year, it’s a generator and converter problem which was repaired on October 7th, 2024. On October 8th, I returned to Hi Jolly and stayed for 14-days, leaving on October 22nd, heading north to my current location at the Indian Reservation in Why Arizona. I didn't enjoy my time at Hi Jolly this year, because the host and his wife, who had always been there every year, had been absentee the last two years I had returned. I discovered his wife died, so he didn't return. She and he were friendly, caring and supporting. So, I will always miss them. Meanwhile, a new host arrived prior to my leaving Quartzsite on October 22nd. It was just too hot, so many motorhome travelers were staying at Rv Parks.

This is a really nice 14 day BLM camp area. It was not crowded or noisy. Nice views of the desert and surrounding mountains. About 3 miles north of Quartzsite. No facilities.
