Hiawassee KOA Holiday

Has a great time. It was different from what we expected. The website leaves you to beleive it is much more intimate than it is. It is huge. And a residential road runs through so there is lots of traffic. The staff were great! We didn’t have an opportunity to use anything but the dog park. It was small. Location was beautiful.

We recently had a rally with 40 first responders at KOA Hiawassee. I highly recommend this KOA. It is huge, well kept, clean and so friendly. The sites are a little close together but that did not end up being an issue for us. We used the pavilion for our functions and it was so accommodating to have that, it’s huge, clean and well equipped. I want to give a big shout out to the employees, the office staff went above and beyond for us, Steve and Beth thank you so much. All of the employees that keep this place running are super friendly. Thanks to all again, you made our rally so much fun.

We stayed at the Hiawassee KOA on our way to Alabama last month. It was beautiful! We stayed by the lake and had a beautiful view of both the lake and surrounding mountains. The gentleman who checked us in was very friendly and helpful. The bathhouse was very nice and clean. Since the park is a few miles out of town it was extremely quiet. Probably the best night of sleep we’ve had in an rv park. :) We would definitely stay there again.

I love love love my new forever home!!! Quiet, right by the river, nice fire pit, adarindack chairs and the best part is... The staff doesn't come around trying to find you doing wrong like you're 2 and need baby sitting!!! 😄 #friendlystaff #beauty #peace&quiet

Awesome place to spend Thanksgiving vacation, we camped in our 40”, Fifth Wheel RV, in site #138. Upon arrival we checked in at the office and staff was helpful, gave us our map, and showed us how to get to our site. The campground has focused on attention to family fun activities! It was festive and decorated for the holidays! The playgrounds, putt-putt golf, game room, paddle boats, and pillow pad, were all a big hit! We didn’t use the bathhouse to shower, but it was clean, and the bathrooms were well supplied. The dog park was tidy and maintained, with a mutt mitt station. We had all gravel at our pull through site, and would reserve at the sites by the pillow pad next time. The view of the mountains were beautiful, and we enjoyed our campfire in the colder evenings! There was a group/site area fire ring, but we used our portable one. Firewood available to buy.
