Customer Reviews
Just got back from a stay at #83. Great park, site, ACOE keep up with the maintenance. Bathrooms may need a little work but plenty of shade and quiet times so close to the city
Hickory Creek COE is a wonderful campground. The sites are well laid out and separated from each other and the electric hookups seem to be pretty new. It’s close to the city buy it feels like it’s in the country. Many of the sites are on the water, so if you have a kayak you can put in right there. My only comment (not really a complaint) is that some of the sites are short and sharply sloped.
We love this campsite. Each site is beautiful! It is peaceful and they have great bathrooms and full hookups!
The facilities are good and there are lots of large grass lands. However, it is very noise since planes to and from DFW pass frequently, even in the evening after 10 pm.
I have stayed here atlast a dozen times. Never once have I hated the experience. It's a nice place for a starter getting to use to camping, McDonald's and Walmart are a 5 minute drive from this place if you can't do the whole outside experience.
