Customer Reviews
Joan May has to be the most gracious host I’ve ever encountered. Such kind words, grace, professionalism, and understanding. She even took the time to ask what I do for a living and searched my name on Google to see what she could find out to make my stay more comfortable. We planned to be in town for a family member’s funeral. Due to medical issues, we ended up having to stay at a hotel instead of camp. Joan May graciously refunded my deposit over and above requirements with zero condescension at my failure to read the policies upon booking. She even prayed for me and wished me a blessed day.
We really like this campground. The sites are nicely spaced out, well kept and grounds are maintained. It is a surprisingly quiet place, even when fully occupied. The staff is friendly, hospitable and accommodating. The town of Sheffield is just a few miles away.
Awesome park. Wide spaces. Big park but spaced out. Full timers have added decks and landscaping - showing they care. We were moved to a different spot from our reservation. But it worked out better for us. So that's a plus! The new pool and bathhouse are beautiful. Love the way the park meanders. It gives several choices for walking dogs. Our only concern was the lack of a storm shelter. There was a tornado warning (and sirens) when we were there. We did locate someone who told us there was a house associated with the park that had a basement. We suggest you confirm the plan when you arrive. Otherwise, we would definitely come bak.
This is a beautiful campground tucked away from the highway. Large trees with grassy spots. Brand new pool and bathhouse.
Nestled in the trees with lots of shade, spacious sites, tranquil atmosphere and super friendly, personable owners, this campground ranks among the best we've ever stayed. The property is well maintained and you can tell the owners care about your satisfaction more than money. We found them through online research and picked a site we thought would be good, but when we arrived, the owner suggested a site we might like a little better. She was right, so peacefully, hardly any neighbors and awesome views of the grounds. Booked for 2 days but stayed a 3rd. We will definitely be back.
