Making a reservation and check in was easy. Very convenient location, right off I-70. Basic, clean campground. Many of the campers are seasonal. Quiet and safe. Bath houses clean and functional. It's obvious the new owners are putting a lot of work into the CG. Hopefully at some point they will be able to adjust the sewer hookups. Both ourselves and our CG neighbors had to pull forward ~20 feet (and into the access road) in order for the waste tanks to flow downhill. Not a big deal, but something to work on.
This campground was a lot of fun! The owners were very helpful and accomodating! We had a large family group for our camping weekend and they suggested a couple spots and it was perfect! They had a few halloween activities for the kids that were very well planned and thought out. The haunted maze they had was great! We were able to walk it during the daytime hours for the younger kids to see everything and not be scared in the dark. So fun! We will definitely stay again!
We actually didn't get to stay at the campground on our way to Iowa via Kansas City because our plans changed. So I had to cancel the reservation. What nice people! I notified them a couple of weeks ago and for some reason they didn't have reccord of me notifying them and sent me an email about our upcoming visit and they called me so I was able to let them know that we wouldn't be there. The man on the phone was great and very understanding. I hate it when I have to cancel reservations and try not to do it but sometimes plans change and I have to. We do dog sport competitions all over the country and sometimes times and days change. This campground was wonderful to work with. Thank you.
Check in was easy, and the owners were really welcoming and helpful. The camp is very kid friendly with a pool and playground. The laundry facility is excellent with reasonable prices. Nighttime was totally quiet even at 8:00. We enjoyed our stay here!
Just an overnight stay. Staff was extreemly helpful providing an extra water hose due to the distance from the connection to our rig. Easy access of the interstate. The staff escorted us to a level pull through space and made sure all was OK. A blend of full timers and short term guests. The park was clean. No junk accumulated around full time rigs. The pool looked inviting but took a short trip to Herman (German immigrants) to visit Stone Hill Winery. A must if you enjoy wine. I would stop again.
