Hidden Cove Campground Introduce

Welcome to Hidden Cove Campground, a unique offering within the Campgrounds & RV Parks category, located near Rockport, Washington, USA. Based on recent customer reviews, Hidden Cove Campground provides a secluded and exclusive camping experience accessible only by boat on Diablo Lake.

The environment of Hidden Cove Campground is described as a "great secluded boat in campground," emphasizing its remote and private setting. It is situated in a cove, offering a sense of being surrounded by nature and the waters of Diablo Lake. One review highlights the potential challenges of the journey to the campsite, particularly for younger children, due to wind, waves, rocks, and cold water temperatures, suggesting that boat travel requires caution. However, the reward is having "the whole cove to yourself," indicating a high degree of privacy and immersion in the natural beauty of the lake and surrounding area.

Services at Hidden Cove Campground are somewhat limited due to its secluded nature. However, it does offer a "very nice dock," facilitating access to the campsite via boat and providing a place for water-related activities. The campsite itself features a "bear safe 4 person tent ground," ensuring a secure area for camping in bear country. While not explicitly mentioned, it can be inferred that this is a more primitive camping experience without the typical amenities found at drive-in campgrounds.

Key features of Hidden Cove Campground include its exclusivity as a "single site" campground, guaranteeing privacy for those who book it. The boat-in access itself is a significant feature, offering a unique camping experience away from typical campgrounds. The presence of a "bear safe" tent ground is crucial for safety in this environment. Additionally, the campground provides access to "great trails to look out over Diablo Lake," suggesting opportunities for hiking and enjoying panoramic views of the stunning lake and surrounding landscape. One review specifically recommends "Thunder Head camp site" for families as it is "fully protected," implying that Hidden Cove (the single-site location) might have more exposure to the elements during the boat journey.

Currently, no specific promotional information is available for Hidden Cove Campground based on the provided reviews. Local users interested in this unique camping experience will likely need to check with the managing authority (such as the National Park Service or a local recreation department, given its proximity to Diablo Lake which is part of the North Cascades National Park complex) for booking procedures, fees, and availability. The exclusivity of having only one site suggests that booking in advance is highly recommended.

For local adventurers and those seeking a truly secluded camping experience on Diablo Lake, Hidden Cove Campground offers a unique opportunity within the Campgrounds & RV Parks category. Be prepared for a boat journey to access this private cove and enjoy the tranquility and natural beauty it offers, along with the provided dock, bear-safe tent area, and access to scenic trails.

Amazing site. The journey is NOT for younger kids. Between the wind, waves, rocks and 40 degree water, the risk is too great if you tip with precious cargo. Thunder Head camp site is fully protected and recommended for families
