Based on customer reviews, Hidden Lake Resort presents a mixed experience. While the resort offers a peaceful environment and activities for families, there are concerns regarding cleanliness and site setup.
Key features and observations from customer reviews include:
- Cleanliness Concerns: Multiple reviews highlight issues with the cleanliness of the shower house, including moldy shower curtains and unsanitary floors.
- Limited Hookups: The lack of hookups for campers forces guests to rely on the on-site facilities, which have been criticized for their condition.
- Site Setup: The presence of permanent trailers creates a less traditional camping atmosphere, which some guests find intrusive. Primitive sites are located far from the bathhouse, and the nearby porta potty is described as "awful."
- Family-Friendly Amenities: The resort offers playgrounds and common areas, providing entertainment for children.
- Event Preparation: The resort appears to host events, with preparations for a Halloween celebration noted by reviewers.
- Friendly Management: Management is described as helpful, friendly, and easy to work with.
- Peaceful Environment: The resort is generally considered a peaceful and nice place for a short stay.
While Hidden Lake Resort offers a peaceful setting and family-friendly amenities, potential guests should be aware of the reported cleanliness issues and the unique site setup. The friendly management and available recreational areas may appeal to some visitors, but the condition of the facilities is a significant concern.
If you are considering a stay at Hidden Lake Resort, it is recommended to weigh the positive aspects against the reported cleanliness concerns and consider your specific camping needs.

Customer Reviews
These reviews on the “new shower house can’t be real. Been here three days and the shower house has not been touched inside or out. The shower curtains have mold on them the floors or disgusting. They have no hook ups for campers so you are forced to use that facility. I took my own toilet paper and used Lysol wipes to clean the toilet just to sit on it. This is sad because it is a peaceful nice place to stay a day or two. But where is the staff?
I took my kids camping in a tent here over the weekend. I was a bit taken aback by the permanent nature of a lot of the trailers around the area. Something about watching the folks across the road mow their lawn made me feel like I was intruding on someone else’s space rather than out camping, which was the biggest deterrent for me. The primitive sites are as far from the bathhouse as you can get, and the nearby porta potty was absolutely awful. On the bright side there were plenty of playgrounds and common areas to keep the kids entertained. Looks like they were all getting ready for a pretty fun Halloween celebration. Management was helpful, friendly, and easy to work with.
My in-laws have a camper here and my husband love taking our kiddos there to get some family time. The place is safe for my kids to run free. They have one rule, don't go near the water without a life jacket. When the corn is up, it is completely hidden and where our camper is located the trees keep it cool. They have the best events for adults and kids that are so fun. Everyone is neighborly. Nobody drinking more than they can handle and causing disturbances. Nothing but a peaceful and relaxing experience.
Staff is frienldly and if no answer on phone they will ring back lots of room around camp sites and restrooms are clean laundry is great No wifi or sewer hookup but dump station is easy to get to lake is great for swimming
Rented the pavilion for a family cook out and get together. Renting the pavilion was $125, which compared to other places was not bad. Especially when the pavilion comes with an abundance amount of tables! They even supplied the garbage cans for our event. To note here: because they handle the trash, they ask that if you bring a charcoal grill, you will have to take whatever used charcoal with you. On top of the $125 to rent the pavilion for the day, it costs each individual $3 to swim and $5 (I believe) to fish. The lake area was decent. Plenty of room to swim. Beach area was clean, water was alright. They had restrooms and showers available at another location near the lake. Bathrooms were clean and even had fancy smelling soap. Overall great experience and we will definitely be renting and swimming at Hidden Lake again!
