What a beautiful place. It's first come with only 9 sites. 3 large enough for RV. We were lucky to find one on a Monday at noon. Fishing great. Not bothered by bugs. Temperature just right.

I almost don't want to add a review because I want to keep this amazing gem a secret. I have been twice now. Both times, had an amazing site and no crowds. A few other campers, plenty of personal space. Camp right on the lake. There is a pump that is kept up with for water. Clean bathrooms, the park is well mainted and each site is equipted with fire pit and very nice large sturdy picnic tables. No trouble with bears here. The lake is beautiful and good for water sports, like kayack, SUP, canoe, swimming and full of fish for fishing. Great trails for nature walks and so quite and peaceful. Stars are brilliant. I think they spray fr mosquitos too! I had no issues. My family loves this place, just check the pics and see for yourself! It is a bit off the beaten path, which I like. Maybe why it's such a secret. Easy to get to though. I got here in a 2wd fwd Honda Civic. Access to Buffalo pass nearby. I think it was 10 bucks to camp for the night.

This campground is well known by the old retired locals. They take all of the good spots, are all up in your business, and over all not a lot of privacy at half of the sites. I most definitely will not ever be coming back here, and not worth the 3-4 hour drive from Denver. This spot is for old people and families who like to watch what others are doing. I was almost uncomfortable at the people walking by my site literally watching me and my friend. Not a good experience and good luck getting a good spot when the retired folks camp there for several days on end and get there before the weekends.

HI IT'S A BEAUTIFUL PLACE, BUT I SEE THAT IT'S GETTING WORSE EVERY YEAR , THE WATER PUMP DOESN'T WORK , THEY REPLACED THE BENCHES WITH NEW ONES BUT THEY DIDN'T CLEAN UP THE OLD ONES , THE LOCKS IN THE TOILETS DON'T WORK AND OF COURSE PEOPLE LEAVE CANS IN THE FIRE RINGS ..... ANYWAY IT'S BEAUTIFUL AND QUIET PLACE 😊😉
