Beautiful property for a true camping experience. I started here camping weekends in my tent and now have a seasonal lot with a travel trailer. I have experienced both sides. I found this campground safe, friendly, and relaxing. This campground is set up to accommodate all camp styles (seasonal, overnight, tent, RV, water/electric and dry camping). Clean shower house, camp store, owner on-site, relaxed vibe, family friendly, great fishing, boat rentals, swimming pond, Bingo most Saturdays or an event for all campers to join. Yes there is mobile phone service and stores nearby.
Its a great place to camp, fish, swims, meetings a lot of people. I. Camp here for 23 years. And I never had a hard time.
So the campsite was large and flat, clean, next to body of water. You could probably put 7-12 tents on that site if you wanted to, though that would get expensive. Cost was $29/tent/night so it adds up quick. Cost did not match quality. Fire pit is extremely small, no grate with fire pit. Shop with good firewood, ice and a bunch of stuff if you forget things. Restroom facility is not clean, the women's restrooms soap and paper towel dispenser was ripped off the wall, there was mud all over the sinks, water has a very strong sulfur smell, it would have been alright if they even tried to put hand soap and a roll of paper towels. The men's restrooms are very well taken care of. Also, the sounds and mess of geese are everywhere. Good thing is you don't have to set an alarm clock, 6am they surround your tent like a campfire and talk to each other at full volume. If you don't like bright and early wakeup calls then I would suggest earplugs. The campsite is nice, nice location of trees and open area, just very expensive.
I reserved a cabin at this camp grounds from Monday may 27th to June 2nd. I would of stayed the whole 6 days but unfortunately this place was not the quietest. I got called into work Saturday afternoon and did not get back to my cabin until almost 12am. When I returned a camper across the lake was having a wild party at their camp site I couldn't get no sleep. Calling the office did not help so I had to leave the cabin I spent $ 65 a night for and had to go and get a hotel room just to get sleep. As I left that night cops was pulling in and so was the fire department. The campers having the party had a guest fall into their fire pit drunk. No one was put out and management was nowhere to be found. The next morning I returned to my cabin and called the office and told them I was checking out early due to the night befores behavior and asked for a refund for my last night and was told they don't give refunds. When I told the manager that was illegal he told me to have my attorney call him and to take him to court and hung up on me. This is not a quiet place to camp and management robs people of they're hard earned money and don't care. Worst place ever.
Great people camp here, activity are needed but improving, restrooms are way cleaner than most, beautiful place to relax and party when nessasary. Friendly atmosphere unless you are a problem, then owners are testy but fair.two thumbs up from me ,
