Customer Reviews
Our group of friends stayed at the Gray house last weekend while we were in the area for the Penn State game. We have a great time! The house was everything we had hoped for. Clean, and plenty of room. Beds were comfortable, and plenty of kitchen amenities for us to use for cooking. Campground was peaceful, and scenic. We look forward to coming back next year!
We arrived very excited to stay. BUT, upon arrival and setting up our campsite we had friendly campers approach us letting us know that all the water sources were contaminated with E.COLI! Did the front desk tell us that upon arriving and getting our campsite????? NO!!!!! The campsite did nothing to accommodate this huge discrepancy! Extremely disappointed and inconvenient. I can say at least we had the pools to use for retreat and refreshment. Have to give this place 1 star.
Scheduling was strange, we needed 2 sites and when reserving on line there were only 5 sites available, but when we got there we found 30 sites available in the very area we were in. Our site was difficult to back into due to a activities shed but was manageable. Sites were slightly narrow compared to most we've stayed at but still large enough to set up and get around. Luckily we were next to family so we were able to share area. The store was out of a lot but it was their last weekend so I can't fault them for that. Staff was very friendly and it did seem as though they had lots of activities going on throughout the weekend. Lighting needs addressed in the men's showers but again it was the last weekend of the season. We would most likely return, but would call directly rather than reserve online due to the confusion. The park is really nice, multiple playground's (well maintained) for the children and I expect the pool is kept well also.
I love the feel of this campground. I love the way everyone feels like family. The pools are kept immaculately clean by Dusty. The hilltop bathroom is very nice. The other bathrooms could use updating but they still function as they should. The laundry is quick and efficient. The staff is always super helpful and kind. We bought wood in our way out with the intention of picking it up on our way back in and we came back to find it was delivered and stacked next to our fire pit which was such a nice surprise. My daughter enjoyed fishing and the pool. The camp store is always a treat when it’s open too. We stayed in a deluxe cabin by the pool it and couldn’t have been a more perfect set up. Only blip was that our futon was broken in our cabin but we still made it work. I would suggest maybe putting mattress pads in the loft of the deluxe cabin to sleep up to 6. And maybe WiFi that reaches the sites for night time. Thanks for having us! We can’t wait to go back for longer next time and dream of someday being seasonal campers there.
Beautiful large Park with really nice events happening. The only things I would change is, not packing people in like sardines in such a large park. We came in the first night and our camper did not fit in the site, so the next day we moved to a different site where it was like a backyard and campers all around us. Maybe putting a few dog parks in such a large campground would be nice. Most of the people had dogs. We very much enjoyed our stay. And they have a very friendly staff. We will be back again.
We stayed in the big gray house for Bucknell graduation weekend. It was super fun to be in the campground. The house has a ton of room for a group and worked great for our needs. The campground itself is well maintained and had a fun atmosphere. The people we interacted with were all really nice. I would definitely stay there again, and wish I had found it sooner!
i booked 3 campsites for full hookup and we get there and they put us on sites that had no sewer.someone messed up and it wasnt me. i was so upset . went to office to tell them and they tried to put us together in other areas but the 1 site was so bad to get into that 1 of us had to go down below in another site . we are suppose to be together , boy was i mad that we were apart. the point of camping together is being together in a row i was not happy thank goodness we got golf carts.also they put some sites to close together. need to clean the ponds where you fish they are disgusting.the pools look very clean tho and the staff was very nice.we went yard sale weekend and that was fun. the store is tiny need to upgrade it.but at least they had icecream.
We made our reservations for specific sites in January for the yard sale weekend in June. When we arrived at the campground, we found out they had changed our sites. However, they never called or e-mailed to tell us that, nor did they offer any money off for the inconvenience. In fact, they even charged our friends more money until we brought it to their attention, and then they reluctantly credited them money. They did the same thing last year on the same weekend. We have been camping here for many years, but it is really going downhill in the last few years, while the cost is going up tremendously.
Very dissatisfied with the price being raised for yard sale weekend, then when we went to the pool Saturday afternoon it was closed for the auction that didn't start until 4:00 pm. Mini golf also closed. Last year for us after 30+ years of coming for yard sale weekend. Very unhappy campers!
