Easy, fun to hike with kids, since there are endless scramble opportunities. We also appreciate the info panels teaching about local flora and fauna. But parking is extremely hard, and overall is a popular and crowded trail.
One of my favorite beginner hikes in Joshua Tree! There were so many cool boulders to climb, little trails to explore, and gorgeous views of the park. We even saw some professional climbers scaling a huge wall! Our group of 18 absolutely loved it here, highly recommend for any group size and skill level
Not one of my top trails but great for kids and those having a harder time getting around. Not too much scrambling involved. Lots of opportunities to see many rock formations. Great stop to dip your toes into being outdoors trail was pretty easy to follow. Not too busy on the trail on the weekend but the parking lot does fill up.
Highly recommend! Our kids had more fun here than anywhere else. Tons of very climbqble smaller rocks and boulders! Easy 1 mile loop! So many amazing rock formations!
This trail is Majestic. If your schedule only permits a short hike, this is the one to take. It is wonderful that JPNP allows all type of rock climbing from repelling to free form. Be safe and have fun.
