The campground is nestled in peaceful wooded surroundings along the banks of the South Yadkin River, offering picturesque views and a serene backdrop for your camping experience. The woman I checked in with is SUPER nice!! However, the pictures are deceiving. If you plan to be noisey after 8p.m. (talking and laughing), this is not going to be your campground. We were told to be quiet at 9:15. I get it. The kids are loud, they talk loud, they laugh loud. But we weren't hurting anything. We left after that, no point in fighting kids into a sleep at 9 o'clock when it was a booked stay to ENJOY.

Wonderful, friendly service. They were up front at the available amenities and the things that they used to have before the Nov 2020 flooding. They have been committed with daily labor on improving the property to its glory days. As of Memorialal weekend 2024, there are no RV hookups, no dump site, etc, they only have primitive camp sites available. They worked their tails off getting the 100,000 gallon pool cleaned out. Last year summer, it was filled with sand, and that's a massive clean-up for anyone, especially someone who has survived a devastating tragedy. Our kiddos LOVED the river and the little sandy beach area where they played every day we stayed. We all had a blast looking for gems and precious stones that flood the area after rising river water from storms. It was so relaxing to let the kids play in the river while we got to relax to the tranquil sounds of the river. The trails were fun to walk thru. The employees were amazing in checking on the campers during the biggest thunderstorm I've ever been camping in. The kiddos had fun getting to play volleyball in the grass/sandy court. I enjoyed my primitive camping experience, and having a full running bathhouse is a huge plus for me and the kids! We are all excited to return and see the improvements they accomplish. Wonderful place, we had a terrific experience and found some great friendly new friends. Thank you!

Nothing about this camp ground remotely looks like the website… they had a bad flood 4 years ago and it still looks like it today. We stayed a few weeks ago and arrived to the checkin camper, only to see the sight of a blond woman nearly jumping out of a car that was moving with the door open (she seemed maybe intoxicated?), and running into the checking camper. As you pull in there is a field of broken down cars and trailers. We were directed to camp by the river, and set up for our first night. I went to check out the bathrooms and found it to be crazy. The men’s urinal was falling apart, electrical wires hanging on to of the shower wall, and no locks on the stall doors. The pool that they speak of was green and the local kids (I assume owners kids), were catching tadpoles in it. Frogs had definitely made that pool its home. To top it all off we were very sure that we were offered drugs by the same blond woman we saw on day 1 (she came out and asked if we were their to camp or “buy some tins”). I know that they are recovering from a terrible situation but their website does not reflect the current situation at all! Not even a little bit. I love primitive camping but this place isn’t the place to do it. It’s cheap so I guess you get what you pay for.

Didn't stay because it was so run down. It looked like to be a haven for homeless drug addicts. The place had a creepy vibe as well. I would NOT recommend this place for a couple nor family. I know they had a dragic flood years back but it should be in much better recovery than what was seen. My advice is stay away. My advice to the owners is clean up and restore your campground or it will never be back to what it was even if you try. A bad rep spreads faster than fire. Sad to see it gone down this bad.
