Customer Reviews
High North campground is in Rabbit Valley. Located on the border of Colorado/ Utah. Very clean, Views forever. Campsites are far enough apart it gives more privacy. Many trails for 4 wheeling. Pronghorn deer are abundant. It's really beautiful.
$28 for one night, with a single vault toilet 1/2 mile away with no toilet paper. While the views are nice, there is little or no shade and the road noise is irritating. You could pull off the road anywhere for this kind of experience. This was the highest priced campground featuring no water, no hookups, no security and no campground host. We stayed at stunning NFS and BLM sites through the region including Aguirre Spring, Canyon de Chelly and Cochise Stronghold for a fraction of the price. What led them to believe this site was worth $28 a night?
Once a beautiful place. "Improvements" have left this natural place developed. Please continue enjoying your publice land and refuse to pay.
The views were incredible! Almost all the sites are close to the cliffs, so be wary when camping with children. (We had site 3 which was kid safe and near the vault toilet, but still far enough away to avoid the smell) it seems to be a newer campground, fresh gravel, new toilet facility, when we went there wasn't anyone else there. We only found out about it because the campground we were trying to go to was closed due to emergency and the parks and rec/fire rescue team suggested this campground instead.
Incredible views from up here! Very few other campers when we came through.
Pretty views, but also pretty barren. Lots of dirtbikes and 4 wheelers. Gets very windy so you get lots of dirt/dust covering every surface in your vehicle. Not sure why it's priced so high for nothing but a vault toilet near site 3. Sites are pretty level and flat.
Awesome views! Quiet peaceful! And Dinosars below the campground! Have a great Adventure!
