Great camping experience, was able to get us in the last min with a perfect site. The playground is super fun for kids and adults. We did come in the off season, results may vary! 100% would camp here again.
This place is amazing. I came for a one night visit as I am moving to the area in a few months. I was greeted warmly and explained everything I needed to know. The guy (sorry, I already forgotten his name) was super nice. They had firewood for sale which greatly helped. The campground was peaceful and out of the way. Not hard to find at all. They have a pool! It was being refreshed for the season. I wouldn't have gone in since it was still chilly. The bathrooms were clean and of a higher standard than I would have expected.
The Highland Campground is the nicest, quaintest campground around for a small town area. It’s heavily wooded, providing the feeling of disconnect from reality. The pool is well-maintained and delightful to swim in. The cabins are always clean and give you that homely feeling while being outdoors. Ryan, the manager, is hardworking, doing his best to keep the campground up to par and is very personable and friendly. He takes care of his campers, making sure they feel comfortable and if anything happens he is there to make sure nothing goes awry. All in all, this campground is a delight to visit and I highly recommend.
Been my home base since end of July. I consider myself a permanent resident but campsite shuts down for winter in November. My head has never been clearer and calm since moving here. I always meet "interesting " people here, made friends with ones I see! It's quiet here, it's everything I expected camping to be! Ryan, the head Honcho, is excellent! He'll bend over backwards to help you! Check out the pinball machines in the game room! The one I played back in '75 ! Got washer and dryers, can't beat the price! Swimming pool, Baby Ruth free!😁 If you want your children to experience Gen X training camp, stop by the playground! A few concussions , stitches and scars build character! Yes, they are Bethlehem steel! Dint eat the paint chips! Got corn and other produce up the office. Stop by, pay your rent, say hello! Now to find Ryan and see if I get a discount for October by providing my stellar endorsement! I m going kayaking! See ya out there!!
Had the best time with the family! Management "A+"!!! Can't wait till next season!
