Great bike/hike trail trough the hammock. Campground built 100 years ago… only few 50amp or big rig size sites. Lots of shade trees. Camp store well stocked and nice museum for the CCC. There’s a tram tour through the park.

Camped in the tent only section and it was wonderful! P16 has plenty of shade all throughout the day and probably has the most privacy/space between it and the next spot. Other campers out here seem to understand the quiet hours rule which made the weekend even better as that seems to not be the case everywhere. Campsite was very clean and plenty of room for multiple tents/bug/changing rooms . Bugs were only bad first thing in the morning and right around sunset. There are bathrooms/showers by the RV side (packed) which was close to a 2 mile hike. Firewood is available at the park shop since you’re not allowed to collect here. Highly recommend this campground.

This place is great for wildlife. Always seeing deer, tortoises, armadillo, etc etc. even saw a bear eating garbage out the dumpster. He tore that dumpster to shreds. Had a Buffett of trash. (Just to be clear, all trash was picked up by the kind staff and volunteers the next morning).

Clean campground. Spots are not secluded as it's more of an open feel. But close to trails. Tram ride was awesome!
