The familiarity of the region, combined with the convenience of a nearby yet distinctly "up north" feel, creates an ideal setting for frequent visits, especially for those who opt for the popular seasonal sites.

The owners and staff where top notch. power went out all over the county including the entire campground, but these people never missed a beat. with smiles on their faces they got through it with grace and patients. the campground is in good shape and the bathrooms are very clean. we will be back for sure. the 4th of July parade was great!!
New owner. Parents got a camper to have a place to stay on the weekends and the owner is not friendly towards new people. Also charged my parents if they had family come over even if it was one person for a single night. Something is wrong here. Please find a different place for you and your family
My girlfriend and I were looking for a quick weekday getaway in the rental camper here, super last minute. I called and spoke with Marty and let him know I wanted to come up super late evening, or possibly in the morning. Marty was not only flexible, but super accommodating, and then waited all evening to find out when I was actually going to arrive. He then texted instructions in such detail that it made it impossible to miss. We arrived at 1am. To a well lit, fully stocked camper with everything you need except food. We were there under 48 hours, but Marty and his wife made us feel at home, and even offered free Kayak rental. Not only will I be back, but am going to go out of my way just to make it back up here.
If I could rate this place a no star I would. Marty is by far the most despicable owner I have ever encountered. He's cranky, not very hospitable, and can't be bothered to help you with anything or answer questions without an attitude. This campground use to be wonderful with some of its campers there for 30+ years that are now leaving because of new ownership. Marty actually clocks the speed you're going, I've seen him do it! And if he thinks you're going faster than 5mph he'll flag you down and let you know, because he did to us. The kids get yelled at for riding their bikes "too fast". Marty said his tractor wasn't big enough to help my husband's grandfather lift his deck away from their seasonal when he sold his trailer, yet some elder gracious neighbors and 35 year old with a bad back could do it. And now they won't allow any campers/trailers older than 8 years old rent a sight, no matter the condition they're in. Yes, I've heard of other places doing this, but I still think it's a ridiculous rule.
Oh my god this place is great, clean and gorgeous. I have never seen a cleaner bathroom. The owners are super nice. Never knew such nice people who own and live and enjoy their home. Did not want to leave. Will definitely make it back there soon. Thanks
