Perfect spot to camp, fish, enjoy the lake
Hike-in sites are very nice and most are secluded, but the terrain is a bit hilly so come prepared. Some sites have direct water access and can handle boat landings. Campground features pit toilets for the hike-in sites, and showers/full bathrooms at the nearby Tompkins campground, which you can access for free with your hike-in site pass. Ranger station conveniently stocks bags of ice and firewood on-site, available 24/7. Great experience overall.
Very beautiful! Plan to get your equipment up and down the trails and STEAP hills though. A wagon helped us a lot.
