Best camping spot in all of Arizona. It's beautiful, it's clean, it's quiet... this was my first time there and I was beyond impressed. Every spot here has privacy and beauty. Just a few minute hike from the lake and with clean and convenient bathrooms. The canoe rental team was amazing as was the cafe. Located just a few minutes from a convenience store and gas station for any small needs too. We will be back multiple times every year from here on out. And not to support the inflation we are all suffering with but this place is worth twice the fee you pay. I end this by saying again- best camping spot in all of Arizona!
This is a quiet, beautiful woodland. Great trails to walk your dogs. Peaceful setting and a host who is on top of what's happening. My only warning is that I had to move my C Class RV because site 17 was way too unlevel for my rig. I was up five of those yellow blocks high and still not level. With the help of the host, I moved to site #1 which needed no leveling at all. Spent a lovely week at Hilltop!
We found an opening las minute and took it! This was my first camping trip with my kids and it was just perfect! The spots are big enough for us. We also just loved that each spot is well laid out and private! We did hear many coyotes close by at night and a lot of night atv riders, but for the most part a quiet, dark, and beautiful nights! No doubt I would come back. I would just have to do it during the week as spots are rate to get booked on weekends! The lake close by is also awesome!
Very clean and extremely quiet. Just about 1/4 mile from Lynx Lake. Several other hiking trails.
We loved this campground. First time camping here. We usually camp at Yavapai but it was closed until May 1st due to the epic snow this year. Our site had a pretty view and the campground was very clean. The sites are spaced out unlike its neighborhood lynx lake campground. We stayed in site #31 on loop C. The only reason why I give it four stars is honestly because of the camp host. Not the main host. A site across from us on Thursday a guy showed up in a spot that was blocked off. We assume he is going to be a second camp host for the summer. They brought him a golf cart. However we never see him. He ran his very LOUD generator 90% of the day that sounded like it needed serviced. We have a generator too but only ran it for about an hour for showers. I would stay in loop B if you can so you don’t hear it all day long and interrupt your peace and quiet. Disappointing the camp host was the loudest around.
