Beautiful area, amazing views from our campsite. The concrete pad under the picnic table presented a unique challenge for securing our dining canopy, but nothing a good bit of Paracord couldn't fix. Very quiet aside from one camper that loudly played one song on repeat long into the night, which park staff never addressed. Aside from that, great experience!
Absolutely beautiful location high above Las Vegas. The city light glow is barely visible. What a wonderful surprise to have found this campground.
I was extremely disappointed in the host. He came to our campground with an attitude walked right down to my campsite and looked for anything out of place. He then proceeded to accuse me of cutting down a limb off a tree to start my fire!!! I would never cut a tree to start a fire… it’s still green and won’t burn! I’m from Oregon!!! We use dead branches to start our fires with. Not live ones! He really just set the mood for the night and I didn’t even want to stay. I don’t appreciate getting yelled at by anyone. Just the way he treated me was disrespectful! The branch was dead and on the ground for many days as it went up in flames when I lit it! The host really needs to find a job so he doesn’t work for the public with that attitude.
Hilltop is a beautiful camp ground, my family and I have been camping here for years. I am really curious on what has happened to the camping community. I went early Friday to reserve a site, paid and put the stub showing I had paid. When we got to the site a family was there and our stub was gone. They had no remorse or empathy for what they did and the man took off his shirt, trying to threaten my husband. Luckily there was one spot available that opened last minute and we were able to camp there. As I am writing this the group behind us are being very loud and inconsiderate at 12 am. You go camping to get away from the city and enjoy nature. If you are going to be up all night drinking stay home and go to a bar!! I feel sorry for the children being raised by parents who think it’s ok to steal someone’s campsite they already paid for. It’s sad. People also drive fast around the campsite where children are playing. We wont be camping here again
Not a bad spot. Wish it had running water but overall a good camp spot
