Location and Accessibility: Perfectly Positioned in Detroit Lakes
Hilltop Campground boasts an excellent, easily accessible location near the major thoroughfares of the Detroit Lakes area. Its address—**25802 130 St, Detroit Lakes, MN 56501, USA**—places it close to the action while still offering the space required for a large-scale parking and transit operation. The city of Detroit Lakes is an established tourist destination in Minnesota, known for its numerous lakes, beaches, and vibrant local culture, making Hilltop a great staging point for local exploration.
Crucially, the campground is strategically located near the Soo Pass Ranch, the venue for WE Fest. This proximity is a major draw, especially when the campground transforms parts of its grounds into the **Hilltop Parking & Transit area**. Local users appreciate the simplicity of this system: parking is made available, and reliable, frequent shuttle services run to and from the event's West Gate. This setup is lauded by concert attendees for making the post-show exit smooth and efficient, as evidenced by customer feedback highlighting the easy-to-use parking and consistent shuttle availability for concert pick-ups and returns. Parking for WeFest at Hilltop campgrounds is easy to use the shuttles move often for pick ups. When the concert ends they have many shuttle busses ready to take us back to our cars.
Worked well as a campground. Long drive to the bowl though. Even longer walk.
This campground was used for employees only at WeFest this year. Nobody else was allowed in even if they just wanted to visit for a bit. There were no fire rings unless you brought your own. Overall it was just basically an open field.
