Customer Reviews
Great location but the hotel is old. Check-in and checkout is super easy. No complimentary breakfast like most economy hotels though. Just watch out for any charges on the credit card after checkout. We never touched the water bottles in the room knowing they are charged for. Used the water fountain in the back all the time we were there. Went to downtown for breakfast. But, turned out they charged my card $6.54 twice under these categories. Called them to check why, waiting for clarification.
I stayed up here for a couple nights and it was great. My company paid for breakfast and they were very diligent to make it very nice. He was like 10 minutes away from a Panera and Costco which worked out perfect for me. I was able to get a top floor which helps it to be quieter but it wasn't noisy as far as I could tell. The front desk staff acted like it was a pain to help but the motel itself was very good.
We have stayed here many times and have had a great experience with their staff and their service. June and Steff at the front desk were so pleasant and helpful!! Anything you need, they get it to you quickly and with a smile!! The hotel is also always very clean and tidy thanks to their friendly and efficient staff. Always add breakfast to your stay. Their individually prepared personalized omelet is fabulous and not to be missed. The ladies who make you feel welcome in their breakfast area, Sandi and Jennifer, along with their kitchen staff are amazing. You will enjoy every minute! Nicer people you will never meet!! If the end of the day finds you tired after a day at the aquarium in Monterey(just a short drive from Gilroy and sooo much quieter!!)and wanting to just stay in for dinner, their restaurant is now serving dinner. We would recommend it. By the way, the pasta primavera was just wonderful!!
Spotless rooms are the property's best feature. Don't bother with breakfast it was understaffed and the very nice folks - only two, a cook and one up front - were completely overwhelmed. Suffice to say that overall quality suffered - wasn't worth the money. Location is right next to 101 so there was lots of traffic noise. Good luck getting to sleep without air pods and listening to physics lectures on great courses plus. Should have stayed at the best Western. Seriously, Hilton keeps devaluing its loyalty program so there's no benefit from repeat stays. Stayed here because it should have had a better breakfast. Won't make that error again.
The location was great since it’s right after the freeway when it was a little noisy at night. My room wasn’t as clean as it could be. The sheets were amazingly clean, but the room or carpeting smelled musty, and there was some dust on the floor in the entry area. I was hoping to use the spa, but the pool and spa were closed for renovations.
