Andrew is just wonderful. All 7 days of his 7 day shifts, he has been accommodating, kind, and is a gem to the Hilton community. I travel often for work, and of all of the Hilton’s I stay at, this one is by far the best. Ocho was our server for dinner, he was quick, kind and a star. We’ve loved our stay so far and will definitely be visiting again. Thank you!
There is NO hotel parking! What kind of hotel does not have any general overnight parking? There is City parking around the corner for about $12, but they do not allow for overnight parking. Their "VIP" parking I'm guessing, is the small lot on the back side of the hotel. This mini lot is run by some general parking company and they charge around $24/night. The Hilton website stated that there was self-parking at $10, however that's very misleading since the City lot doesn't allow for overnight parking. I called the front desk just to make sure that I wasn't missing their parking lot and I was told that these were the only available parking options. Not having parking is EXTREMELY inconvenient, especially for a hotel. 10/10 I will not be staying at this location again.
My reservation was booked through the company I work for . When I checked in I had to come back down to the lobby twice to get the the room key programmed do it would actually open the door to my room . I came back a third time to ask for another room because there was a very musty , mildew smell in the room. I was told there were no other rooms so I had to deal with it. I was on the 3rd floor and The amount of noise is ridiculous.. I could hear people in the hallways , I heard the people in the room next door talking until 2am, my last night I heard people on the balcony talking until early morning and then there was the traffic noise .. it was unbearable for my 3 night stay . The hotel is a fairly new building and I can’t believe how bad it was . The lobby looks and feels like a cafeteria . And let’s not forget about the parking garage that's a couple of blocks away and is a complete fiasco to park in and not the safest feeling place . The first morning I stopped to get coffee and when I asked if there was actual cream (not the coffee mate capsules) i was told “ maybe you should check over at the cafeteria counter “ .. well I didn’t have time for that so i proceeded to get coffee , and it was empty! ( it was 7:30 am ) , The people at the front desk seem like they are just there getting a paycheck . When I checked my Hilton honors account I noticed I received 0 points even though I provided the number to the Hilton employee who checked me in . My company paid for the room but I paid for my dinners and drinks in the hotel on my own credit card for my 3 night stay . This was a Very disappointing experience.
I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with my recent stay at your hotel. My original room, 355, was poorly cleaned, and to my dismay, I found a roach upon returning from my day out. I immediately reported this issue to the front desk and spoke with Ms. Melina, who was extremely helpful and relocated me to room 532. Unfortunately, the issues continued. After settling into the new room and returning from dinner, I discovered that the TV was not functioning properly. Maintenance was sent up to the room and they resolved the issue. I drove all the way from South Carolina and was looking forward to a comfortable stay, but this has been the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. The customer service was great but that’s the only amenity Hilton Garden Inn - Ocala Downtown has to offer. 1/10, wouldn’t recommend.
Great location right on the Square. Very friendly service who seemed to know what they were doing. The quality of the room was disappointing for the price, definitely in need of repair in several ways. They should not let their furniture get shabby looking like this. Be aware you will probably pay $20 a day for parking, and if you want the best view of the town Square? You will also have to put up with the loud music on the terrace which faces the same way. The restaurant and bar are very good.
