This was a lucky find on a recent road trip through southern Utah. The campground has been recently renovated and is under new management, and the facilities are terrific: clean bathrooms with running water and flush toilets (and indoor and outdoor showers); new picnic tables; new fire pits; a small convenience store; and a small dock/boat launch. We were there in early June and were essentially alone in the campground for the two nights we spent there. The cliffs surrounding the campground are stunning with lots of places to scramble and explore. There's an amazing view of the Colorado River, and although the river was low when we were there, the friendly vendor employee said she anticipated the water would rise by mid-June and last through the summer, allowing for kayaking, fishing, and other water sports. The weather was excessively pleasant during our trip, but I have to imagine the conditions might be pretty punishing in the heat of summer since there's literally no shade. Keep that in mind if you're not a sunflower. I would love to go again in the spring or fall when the crowds are down and the stars are plentiful. This is a wonderful home base to explore Natural Bridges, Bears Ears, and the surrounding area.

Not much there. The key thing is that there is potable water at the ranger station and bathroom s. The kiosk for the fee was a little cumbersome and although there was a rate for cyclists, the kiosk didn't offer that option. The camp area was nice but absolutely no shade. It was hard to tell what was open but the road was blocked past the campground. The key for me on my bike was plentiful water.

Great camp. First of all, the manager in the store/marina was so friendly and helpfull. Clean restrooms and showers. All alone on the spot. Wonderful surrounding. Owls and coyotes were speaking softly😊 but intense. Water level of Colorado river was low and difficult to wade and try some river bank fishing, but next time.. The Milky Way with later moonlight's art on the rocks was beautiful.

The camp ground host was super friendly and made us feel welcome without being creepy or overbearing! The bathrooms are clean and all facilities are well maintained. Camp sites are a great size. Not too big but not to small. Loved our stay here!!
