Family has been staying here for years! Personally I’d love to see some upgrades to the sites in terms of electric service. Be aware cell phone service was minimal for Verizon users. They do keep the bathrooms and facilities clean. The beach access is great! They have a put a blue mat path down to the beach which makes access so much easier! We’ll be back again!
The absolute best campground. My boyfriend & I love MTK & always come to Hither Hills. The views are beautiful, especially the tent-only campsite. The staff do a great job at keeping the bathrooms & other facilities clean.
I really enjoyed spending time on the beach here, although it had a litter problem just like many of the beaches in the area during tourist season LOL I spent some time picking up some of the litter and enjoyed a really nice sunset here :) - visited on August 3, 2021
Hands down one of my favorite camping experiences. Granted, It's not your typical campground and definitely a departure from anything you'd find up the Hudson. However, the proximity to the Ocean and all of Montauk's activities makes this an awesome weekend excursion every year. We usually set up camp in the pre-season (early May) and occasionally get hit with a little rough weather. But if you don't mind getting a bit wet (or sleeping in your car...), Hither Hills is definitely worth the visit.
Great location with a beautiful beach right across the dunes. Great location for star gazing! Genie was an angel and so helpful!
