Hocking Hills Camping & Campground Introduce
Hocking Hills Camping & Campground, located at Hocking Hills Family Fun Center and Riverside Campground, 26633 Main St, Rockbridge, OH 43149, USA, offers a range of camping and recreational activities. As part of the "Campgrounds & RV Parks" category, it provides various amenities, but customer experiences vary.
Positive reviews highlight the excellent staff, who are described as knowledgeable and accommodating. The campground offers a variety of recreational activities, including a pool, putt-putt golf, go-carts, and kayak and canoe adventures. They also offer small cabins for rent. The bathhouses are individual units, clean, and well-maintained. New picnic tables have been added, enhancing the camping experience.
However, negative reviews point out significant issues with overcrowding and insufficient facilities during peak times. One reviewer described a terrible experience during Memorial Day weekend, citing that with over 150 sites booked, only five bathhouses were open. These bathhouses are shower/toilet combinations, leading to long wait times and inconvenience. The reviewer had to use restrooms at gas stations and rest areas. Additionally, some amenities were reportedly closed during their stay.
The campground is divided into upper and lower sections. The upper campground features basic electric sites that are described as very close together. The lower campground is noted for its mud paths, which can be problematic during wet weather. Potential visitors should be cautious when choosing a site in this area.
Overall, Hocking Hills Camping & Campground offers a range of family-friendly activities and has a friendly staff. However, potential visitors should be aware of the potential for overcrowding and limited bathroom facilities during busy periods. It is advisable to consider alternative campgrounds in the Hocking Hills area if visiting during peak times.
Hocking Hills Camping & Campground has mixed reviews on facilities and crowds. Located at 26633 Main St.

Great staff. Hands down outstanding! Made sure we were comfortable and very knowledgable about the area. We stayed in the upper campground.. the first few photos. The basic electric sites are close together. Like TIGHT. We paid $37.10 for one night. We were the only ones there. So it didn't matter. The lower campground is marked. Be careful staying down there in wet weather... it's mud path and you can get stuck. Bath house is on the hill..all individual. No sharing.. clean. Nice. There's a pool.. putt putt, go carts, and kayak and canoe adventures. Also small cabins. All new picnic tables this year. Nice place. Honestly.
Worst camping experience ever! My family and I stayed here for Memorial Day weekend thinking it looked like a great campground. We were very mistaken. They were booked at full or very near full (150 + sites with multiple people per site) and only five bath houses open. The bath houses are shower/ toilet combo. It was impossible most of the time to even use a restroom and forget even taking a shower. We had to drive to a gas station or the rest area to just use the bathroom. Save your money and book somewhere else! Also, half the amenities weren’t even open. If you’re wanting to enjoy the Hocking Hills area there are plenty of other places to stay.
Sites are huge and very nice but they claim the Porto johns were cleaned Friday when we arrived Sunday they were nearly full. With feces on the floor we have tried for 4 days to have something done about it and the only response we get is "I only work here"
We stayed at hike in site H-15 and while we managed to mostly have a good time, it was in spite of the lackluster campsite. The site was all down hill so we had no level place to setup our tent. The site was so close to other sites you could hear what everyone was saying during our time there. The site was mostly just a mud pit with not even a lot of grass. The picnic table was old and bent. Additionally this site was directly across from a pit latrine, which depending on the wind, made for a truly putrid smell as they're not well maintained. I wouldn't pay to come back and I wouldn't come back if offered for free either, its not worth fighting against the campsite...
Not bad. Clean toilets and showers. Nice staff. Microwave mini fridge and a bed. Kids loved the loft. And putt putt, go carts and bounce pad. Trail to river beach wading area was pretty cool too.
