This place has so much drama and the manager does nothing about it. He is one sided and rude. Also, he has his staff do his dirty work. They need a better manager in that place. The campground has so much potential and he does nothing to improve it. It has little to none amenities. It's gets improve with campers expenses. I have also learned to many snitches that report to him. I will never stay at a campground that I have to walk on eggshells. You are there to make memories not to be watched! Hopefully someday that campground will go back to what it once was.
We chose this campground for it's location. It was convenient for us for what we needed. Water pressure was terrible. Sometimes non existant. No phone or TV reception. Limited activities planned.
Staff has been miserable, yelling at us for driving 7mph in a 5mph. Lots of regular campers here leave their campers year round, and it seems like they run the place. No hot water day 1, visitors have to pay to stop by, and the bed in the cabin is rock hard. Plus, it's a long way from everything.
Cabin was very small and only one door, the other door was bad locked, if there was a fire we would be dead also we were told the bathrooms were closer.
It had been raining for 2 days and was expected to continue for at least another day. I was assigned a campsite in the C area. When I got there by driving thru a muddy field, my site was mostly under water. The people were very nice when I called, and gave me 2 more sites to try. The second was dry enough so I parked. I was so worried about getting out without getting stuck in the field I barely slept. Supposed to stay 2 nights. Went to a Cracker Barrel the second night. Called to let them know. No refund is their policy. That being said, clean bathrooms, friendly people, nice little beach. If dry, it might be nice. I won't go back.
