Holiday Inn Express Coventry S - West Warwick Area, an IHG Hotel

I recently had a very disappointing experience at this hotel. I had made a reservation directly with the hotel over the phone for two nights (Feb 6–8, 2025) at a confirmed rate of $89 per night. However, when I arrived to check in, the front desk staff charged me $99 per night instead. When I showed my email confirmation with the original rate, she insisted that the rate was $99 and refused to honor my reservation price, despite the written confirmation. I politely asked her to match the rate and refund the extra $10 per night but instead of addressing the issue professionally, she became rude, raised her voice, and even claimed she felt “threatened”, even though she was the only one speaking aggressively. When I asked her to speak to me respectfully, she abruptly canceled my reservation and told me to leave. I requested proof of cancellation, but instead of providing it, she threatened to call the police. I have stayed with Holiday Inn many times for both personal and business trips and I have never encountered such unprofessional and hostile service at any of their locations. This was an extremely frustrating and unacceptable experience and I hope management takes steps to ensure this does not happen to other guests.

I stayed for one night. The room was neat and comfortable, and the breakfast was good. However, I have a couple of suggestions for improvement: 1. The coffee and supplies in the breakfast area were not replenished quickly when they ran out, and I had to request help from the front desk. 2. The air conditioner was quite loud, which disturbed my sleep during the night.

This hotel was a life saver after having to walk out of a previous reservation 30 minutes away. Let’s just say the previous place was disgusting and we didn’t feel safe. At this location, we were greeted by Mariah who immediately saw how distraught we were. She was super sweet and accommodating and made sure we felt comfortable. She went above and beyond to make our stay here a pleasant one. When we shared that our tv only had sound and no picture she even offered to change our rooms. We were so tired and decided to stay because we just wanted to some rest. Our room was clean and the bathroom was also very clean. The breakfast was very decent. The staff here is truly the highlight of this place. Thank you Mariah for helping us. Holiday Inn is very lucky to have you! :-)

This hotel was wonderful, clean rooms, great breakfast and staff was great , polite and helpful. Thank you to Moriah and Justin for replacing our chirping smoke detector battery. It took only 25min to get to newport only 10 min to airport. Only wish pancakes were served everyday! Thanks!!

For us it was the perfect location. Hotel and Rooms are clean,pillows wonderfull. Staff is perfectly nice. It's a budget hotel and for what it is , it's great.
