Holiday Inn Express Fairhope-Point Clear, an IHG Hotel

My room was clean enough, but that was the biggest plus. The TV wasn't working, the hairdryer only worked on cool and low and there was one desk chair and one uncomfortable armless chair in the room, so no seating except to sit on the bed. I didn't complain about the tv or hair dryer because they were minor inconveniences, but I would have expected a working television. The room was very gray with not even a picture on the walls. It looked like a hospital room to me. While I don't expect decor it was just really....depressing looking. The elevator was really creaky and a bit shaky. There was a sign in it that said there was a remodel going on, but I don't know what was being remodeled. All in all, the bed felt clean and the bathroom was clean enough so the room served it's purpose but there are other choices in the area so I wouldn't stay again. There was no carpet which was nice, although I did spill a bit of water on the floor and when I wiped it with a towel the towel came away kind of dirty, so that had me wondering if it had been mopped.

We stayed here for a birthday getaway. The prices were so reasonable, especially considering how convenient it is—less than 10 minutes from anything you want to do. The rooms are nicely appointed and the staff is friendly. The breakfast is FAR better than you normally get at this price point.

Very well located near lots of shopping and food. Rooms were clean. The whole property is ready for seniors. The property has just started a remodel. Before it was to dated. The gym is minimal but works. The breakfast was good for a hotel breakfast. Enough protein's!

I have never in my life been more disrespected. I booked a room for my sisters family who was traveling home on military orders from overseas. When they got there they were told I had to be present because my card was on file even though I booked the reservation using third party status that I was not the guest. The receptionist crystal lost her mind when I tried to tell her their policy wasn’t accurate on booking.com and she should let them know or let her manager know. She flipped out. Refused me service. Refused to give my sister the room and then THREATENED to fight me after her shift. 😳 I told her to cancel the reservation because no one in my family was staying somewhere where staff acted that way. I didn’t curse or yell or raise my voice to her and she LEFT me at the desk to talk crap about me to whoever was behind the wall in the office. At that point I did talk loud enough to explain if she was refusing me service she had to provide me cancellation of reservation proof and I wasn’t leaving without that when they already processed my card for the reservation (before I got there with the ID she said was required by the way) She was so petty she wouldnt even hand me the documents. She exaggerated nasty looks from me and in front of my sister and husband as well as the hotels security camera told me if I had a problem with her to meet her in the parking lot at 3 when she was off. I will absolutely never be back nor ever recommend this branch to someone as long as she is working there.

This was a nice hotel for us to stay at. It is pet friendly and I am not a big fan of pets in a hotel, but overall, it seemed to be clean, the staff was nice, and the breakfast was very good.
