Customer Reviews
This was a great hotel. Rooms were large and roomy with updated bathrooms. Staff were all very friendly. Breakfast was high quality and had a decent variety. The indoor pool area was nice as well. You can’t beat this location, basically right in the center of Redwood National Park - no more than a 30 min drive to anything within the park. Highly recommend staying here.
We were traveling through Northern California and stayed 2 nights because of the proximity to the Redwoods and the surrounding attractions. Check-in was easy, the room was clean and comfortable and there was plenty of parking. The hotel is attached to the Redwood Casino which wasn’t fully explained in the EXPEDIA listing. I had a win at the casino so I’m not complaining but it might not be great option for some families. The Redwood Casino does have a restaurant which was good because the other restaurant close by was closed. The food was good and was reasonably priced. The hotel does have a small store that sells food to heat and eat in your room and breakfast was included and they had lots of choices. There is a drive through tree about 5 mins from the Holiday Inn so be sure to try it. The cost is $5. Sadly our truck did not fit but it was still fun to try! We enjoyed our stay but I would recommend staying in Crescent City just up the coast because there is more restaurants choices and supermarkets. Trees of Mystery is about 10 minute drive from Holiday Inn and 30 mins from Crescent City so the distance isn’t too big a difference.
We were headed to the Redwood National Park. The hotel was convenient and quiet. Cell service was only a few bars, if any. Not many places to grab dinner. We found a nearby convenience store with a sandwich station in the back. It was a great trip!
Stayed here when visiting Trees of Mystery and enjoyed my stay very much. The breakfast was great and the room was clean and modern.
Good hotel, nice and clean. Be advised food options anywhere near this hotel are VERY limited. There is 1 food place across the street but no kids allowed so take out only for families . The restaurant at the casino was closed for the days we were at the hotel. This hotel is very close to some of the best spots to see redwoods.
