Holiday Inn Express Lake Wales N-Winter Haven, an IHG Hotel

This is the best hotel, Clean,Location,Customer Service was definitely Amazing.I was traveling alone. I was greeted at the front desk from a very welcoming pleasant young lady. Which brightened my day. And in the evening there was a gentleman that was so kind and friendly , what I really liked that they acknowledge everyone going in and out. That makes me feel safe when I’m alone.The coffee is amazing, The Breakfast Staff was really keeping everything so nice and organized. Housekeeping was quick and efficient. And to really make this a nice trip is I was able to walk to the strip mall with tons of businesses, to shop and eat it was great. Give Everyone A Raise they deserve it. In my opinion this Hotel is definitely 5 Star Hotel. Happy Employees Make Great Companies. I definitely will stay there again. And again thank You to the front desk staff.

I would like to give thanks to Steve, from the breakfast area, for the wonderful attention to our needs , it is very much appreciated. Great workers , breakfast area runs smooth and most importantly, very clean . Thank you Steve very much. And also thanks to the wonderful hotel staff. Will return for sure.

Add absolutely no problems with this hotel. Other than the fact that there was zero hot water. I checked in at 7:00 in the morning after going all night I needed nothing more than a warm shower and a bed. I jumped in the shower and it was cold. So I thought maybe it's just everybody getting ready at the same time. Laid down took a nap for a couple hours and it was another cold shower. It was nice room. But even the next morning I woke up at 5:30 to try and beat everybody to the shower and still zero hot water.....

Front desk were nice and helpful. Location is good for Legoland about 10 minutes drive. Breakfast selection is not bad. We stayed here for four nights. My only complain is every night between 11pm to 1am you can hear people from the back of the hotel by the pool area talking loudly. I'm not sure if they are Home Depot employees or hotel guest. Our room is on the third floor and you can still hear them. It is hard to fall back to sleep if you wake up during those times. I suggest requesting a room by the front side of the hotel away from the pool area.

We have been staying at our IHG hotels since Hurricane Milton came through. We have recently become Diamond Elite members. In many of the IHG hotels, the rooms smelled like smoke or wet animals. Our complaints fell on deaf ears. But not this hotel. The room was fresh with no foul or nasty odors. The bed was extremely fresh and clean. The breakfast buffet was very good. I give this Holiday Inn 5 stars. The only issue was, they did not provide some of the Diamond Elite benefits, such as the snack and drink. Otherwise, it is grade A, and we will stay there again.
