Holiday Inn Express Mill Valley San Francisco Area, an IHG Hotel

My husband booked this room for a quick weekend trip to Muir Woods. The location's great if you're going there. Free parking but I guess it floods, thankfully we were warned. Friendly staff. Rooms were okay, a bit small. There were ants in the bathroom so that was kinda gross. The toilet tank wasn't refilling for some reason so I kept having to take the tank lid off which was annoying. Breakfast was free so I can't complain too much. Beds were comfy. The rooms have pretty thin walls and the air conditioner isn't very loud, so if you're a light sleeper you might want to bring earplugs or something with white noise. Didn't get to use the pool but it looked nice.

I have family in the Outer Richmond District of San Francisco. So it's an easy hop, skip, and jump from Mill Valley Holiday Inn Express. The hotel is very clean. Rooms are large and comfortable. There are lots of hiking and biking trails just outside of the hotel. Breakfast is excellent, lots of variety. Easy access to Hwy. 101. We'll be returning.

Toxic Air Alert!!! Febreeze does not equal clean … the location is great but the rooms were so heavily sprayed with air freshener I felt poisoned by staying one night in this place. I asked Jefferson for help, and he was not helpful. Josue did show me two other rooms and I took the least toxic smelling one with a patio facing the pool. I left the windows open all night with fans on and still could not reduce the odor. The potential for this hotel is good but they need updating and to fix their air quality issues. I recommend avoiding this place.

Just came back from Mill Valley and stayed at Holiday Inn Express and as always my 2 beds, the room, the bathroom were amazing. The services were great and the breakfast was delicious and well served. I visit this Hotel since 1994 I feel that Holiday Inn in Mill Valley California is my 2nd home.

THE HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS MILL VALLEY HAS FLEA’S. I am very upset. We stay here every Thanksgiving and room 135 has flea’s. The manager was very rude and unhelpful. There is no number on the in unit phone to call the front desk. I called twice and no answer until a family member told them to call my room. I was in a towel when the manager came to my room to then tell me there were no bugs after a 30 second ”check”. You did not look hard enough. Our family had 3 rooms totaling THOUSANDS for what would have been a long stay. We had to cancel the rest of our stay the day before Thanksgiving. We spent Thanksgiving Eve at a laundry mat washing all of my belonging while I sobbed as my worst fear of bugs came to fruition. I must have at least 30 of the itchiest bites while the manager told me it was impossible after she asked to see them. There was zero compensation for the bug infested room or the cost to clean everything. Super fun detail is she asked a family member separately if I was on drugs!! No Tania Conde, I am not on drugs but thank you for gaslighting me and my family to our faces. How unprofessional can you be? If that wasn’t enough, the infestation continued even when I threw away my suitcase and sanitized all belonging. We are now dealing with flea’s in my grandmother’s home and have since caught two and the bites continue. Before checking out I caught one in the hotel as well. I had to rewash and spray flea killer on everything. I haven’t had a good nights rest in a week and between the noise and flea’s, I certainly didn’t sleep ok there. I have picture, videos and am in contact with the San Francisco Department of Public Health. I will be contacting her supervisor for the physical, mental and financial tole this has taken on me. I expect repercussions.
