Customer Reviews
We paid $119 a night and expected more. For the most part the property was well cared for. The free breakfast was okay, fruit cups not cold, sausage and potatoes barely warm. My husband said coffee and scrambled eggs were good. I’m gluten and dairy free so not many choices for me. The room was clean and well stocked. No bottled water so bring your own. Bathroom door was splintered and painted over, but still not up to par. The door to the room didn’t close tight, looked like someone had tried to force it and the deadbolt plate was bent. So as I said just the little things make a big difference in the quality to cost ratio.
For a 2 star hotel, $ 135 per night and a free breakfast. Pretty darned good. Beds firm, pillows not. Unheated pool but Jacuzzi is great. Place was clean but needed freshened up. I would stay again if I was in the area.
I really wanted to love this hotel but it's lacking in many ways. I ended up having to move rooms twice with the 3rd room being the most acceptable but also the dirtiest. The first room I was in smelled SO overwhelmingly strong of cleaning products I was getting a migraine. I was moved to the 2nd floor so I could open up the balcony door and air out the cleaning product smell. At 4am I discovered that the AC would not stay on because the unit seemed to be going off the outside temperature. I opened the balcony door to cool off the room and at 6:30am, just as I was finally falling back to sleep, one of the employees started leaf blowing. At 6:30 am!!! I went to the front desk and he originally wanted to just offer me "apologies" I told him apologies don't help me sleep. They put me in a 3rd room. The AC worked but the room reeked of dog smells. Not wanting to be a "Karen" I just made do with the 3rd room and went and bought a can of Febreze at the local Target. The loud machines at odd hours didn't stop with the leaf blower- on my last night an employee was cleaning the carpet outside my room at 10pm! I came here for some much-needed rest but this was not the place to do that.
Christian best front desk person here at palm.desert holiday inn excellent customer service we look forward to see him every time we are in Palm Desert staying here. We have stayed here 4 times in the year of 2024 we drive from Solana Beach. Everything is amazing at this place' bed is so comfortable.
Unclean and smells. Outdated. Facility feels humid during the day. The AC is not running even though it's hot. Couldn't stay for breakfast. Room ac smell when turned on. Some rooms have small patio, great for pets. Overall not recommended.
