Holiday Inn Express & Suites

Front desk staff were very friendly and decent breakfast. Main issues with this hotel were 1: no peep hole cover on the bedroom door. 2: Blanket on the bed didn’t smell clean. 3: space under the door to let in light and papers could be slid under. 4: very thin walls.

Room was supposed to be 124.00. Our bill came out as 186.00. They would not let us cancel. I stayed at the hard rock resort for the prior week for just a little more than this. THIEVES!!!!!! Highway robbers! Find somewhere else that doesn’t steal your money!!!! Customer service was an absolute joke! They say they can’t find my stay. Check again. My wife and I were there last night.

the location of this hotel can not be overstated, so close to historic downtown Charleston, but with so many great restaurants on this side of the bridge. My check in staff were pleasant and efficient and greeted me on each days return to the hotel thru the lobby. Breakfast was hot and fresh every day, there was always staff circling cleaning up and restocking thru breakfast time. I saw housekeeping staff bustling about the floors on my way out each morning. The parking lot, though an unusual shape had plenty of spots for guests. A very friendly and clean hotel, ideal for future vacations!

Our room was very spacious. The only problem we had was the soap dispenser on the wall was not reachable by my wife. It was a handicap accessible room but the dispenser was too high and too far back to reach. Other than that, it was great.

This property is incredible!!! Excellent accommodations and perfectly hand picked staff. Terralin and Glenn are wonderful at their jobs. Far exceeding the expectations of customer care. In the evening, Madyson handles things so eloquently and really cares about you personally as a truly welcomed guest. Kia and Duke are also very kind and helpful. It is really refreshing to see how everyone goes above and beyond the expectations of hospitality for this area. Also, great location, well balanced breakfast each morning, laundry facility ($1.50/ wash & $1.00/ dryer), a beautiful and well kept pool, rooms are cleaned with love and precision (Aguil and Marina are wonderful at what they do). The rooms provide excellent lighting and everything you need and can think of. Comfortable bed to pillow combination, Dove handwash/shampoo/conditioner all provided for you. Blackout curtains and very quiet. Very very quiet. Lastly, the workout facility on the first floor provides towels/headphones/2 treadmills/1 elliptical/1 stationary bike (all with personal tvs), filtered water/a scale/ and free weights. This is a great location with just a hop skip and a jump to downtown Charleston or to Patriots point (to see the Yorktown or take the water taxi). Also close and/or within walking distance to Whole foods, Moe's, grocery store, Trader Joe's, Walgreens, Shem Creek, Causeys barbershop, and many local restaurants. Seacoast church and others are only a few miles away. I can't say enough about this location. A+++ thank you.
