We booked a king size room, one of two available on the website, to turn up and be put in a twin. Not very romantic for our honeymoon!! Also the worst breakfast we've had so far in America at five different hotels. The bed was very comfortable which is the only reason it reaches 3*.
The outside of this new hotel underplays how nice it is in common areas & rooms alike. Near shopping, restaurants, entertainment, & gas stations. Everything was clean/tidy. Hot / free breakfast was good & the area they have it is way more than adequate. The only head-scratcher we had was evening we checked in they had 3-5 people sprawled out (some sleeping) in the lobby area complete with shoes off. We smelled strong cigarette odor in the lobby every time we transited the lobby that 1st day. The next morning no people camped out in the lobby & no cigarette smoke smell. Guess the people that were allowed to hang out in the lobby that first night were the source of the smoke smell. Taking the above as an odd 1-off we absolutely stay here again.
I sure hope this review reaches the manager because I can't seem to reach them over the phone nobody answers the hotel phone when I call. They took a $25 deposit from me Here it is a month later I still have not received it. Not to mention the stay was not that great We couldn't even go into our room without having to get the front desk to open the door for us because the lady told us the key machine was down If I would have known that we would have probably just booked it elsewhere but regardless for y'all to keep my money like this that's absolutely ridiculous.
This hotel was clean, up-to-date and exactly what we needed for a quick get away to visit friends for the holiday. It was quiet and clean which is very important to us.
We came here during hurricane helena and the front desk staff has been amazing Johnathan is so sweet and we empathetic to every1 during this time. I lost my entire home and fema approved us for transitional housing and denied this hotel to help people. The owner came here to help people and sign up for tsa and the government denied them.
