Nice if you want to pay less and stay little of the beach area. Only 1 elevator was working. At 4:30am, the fire alarm went off. So blaring gave me migraine. After being in parking lot for 20 minutes, fire department said the hotel fire system was faulty. Had to get tech to fix. Breakfast was good though. Nice to stay at place that is included in room price.
The hotel is very run down... which is can deal with BUT it was dirty!! They're was trash outside in front of the building. The room was terrible.... stains on the pillow cases, terrible stains on the carpet. Towels smelled musty. The elevator is still out of order. The fan on the air conditioning unit outside below our window was stuck and tried to kick on every 15 seconds all night long. Never will I simply trust the Holiday Inn Express name again without checking the reviews.
Clean rooms. Workers were friendly and helpful. Location was excellent! Only thing was the elevator was out for our first day and we were put on 4th floor( top floor) and having to unload everything making several trips, sucked. It was worth it due to location.
We arrived to check in and the associate ignored us for about 5 minutes trying to make a sale on the phone. Once he lost the sale he checked us in and was very nice. He should have placed the customer on a brief hold to check in guests because a line started behind us. The room had multiple stains and the couch had some stickiness to it. The bathroom was ok. Only floors 3 &4 had working ice machines. Only 1 out of 2 elevators worked. The channel guide didn’t work on the tv and we could only get limited channels. We were suppose to stay two night but booked somewhere else the next morning.
When we booked this hotel, we booked a wheelchair accessible handicapped room. Usually when we book those we are on the first floor. Upon arrival we are put on the second floor. Only one elevator is working. When we get to room the air conditioner will not work. My fiancé has to have cool air due to health conditions. So we were moved to third floor. One elevator no fire escape plan for handicapped except stairs. Well fiancé can’t get down stair. Hello he is in a wheelchair. Room on third floor is inot clean. Carpet is downright nasty!! Air conditioner wouldn’t come on at first, finally got it working. Get up next morning to go down for breakfast and both elevators is out of order. Called front desk, the only thing the clerk could tell me was that they have called someone to fix the elevator. She is not sure when they will be here. The manager wasn’t even available to speak with me about the issue of us being stuck in our room on vacation. So no I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE. !!
