This hotel is really riding on the HIE branding to bring people in and not living up to those expectations. Besides being very dated, my room did not feel clean. The shower had mold and mildew. I didn’t want to walk on the carpet without socks on. On the plus side, the staff were nice, it’s in a good location, and breakfast was pretty good. But this is not a 4.2/5 place to stay. I believe they’ve started remodeling the third floor, so maybe when that’s done, this will be a more attractive option.
We didn’t have to big expectations for this place but it was a surprise ! Very clean, nice big rooms, the beds very comfy. We used a jacuzzi after long hike and pool. Great ,clean as well. Very nice ,friendly stuff! Great location just across the road from 2 great restaurants that can accommodate dietary needs. This hotel really was a great choice,highly recommend .
We came during off-season when they were doing some renovations. I can't wait to see it when it's all done. There's a small pool, hot tub and fitness center. It was way too cold to be outside.
I took my dad across America and we spent two nights here. Lauren was very nice! Such a great personality and great work ethic! You can tell she loves her job! She was so much help and extremely kind and patient. The hot tub was so nice on my tired body. Everything was great. The only frustrating thing was having to constantly get new keys made so we could get into our room because the keys kept not working. Breakfast staff was awesome. Food was delicious. Service was wonderful. We had a great time.
Dirty & noisy. Did not sleep for 3 nights. Bathroom smelled moldy, dirty (large black hair blob on floor, more hair in shower), rugs & couch stained. Didn't want to sit anywhere. Coffee cup behind chair. TV remote needed batteries. Breakfast & coffee were the best thing. Room above us was loud morning & night. Pool closed at 10 so families in hallways after the 10pm quiet hours. Would not stay again.
