Holiday Inn Grand Haven - Muskegon, an IHG Hotel

Excellent customer service, great walking distance to downtown GR, room was immaculate. I was initially nervous to stay here over the Amway Grand Plaza, but ultimately it was 10x better because the room was bigger and we got excellent steaks from "Burger Theory", which was inside the hotel. An awesome bar was also inside the hotel which was amazing. We will be back for sure very soon! Thank you to Holiday Inn and Great Job!

Had to stay here for a night while in town. It was very clean and the staff very welcoming. They do not offer breakfast as the hotel site lists, but there is a restaurant inside. I mentioned that I was offered free breakfast and the worker at the desk gave a couple for free breakfast. It had been paid for already, by a mystery host for their employees who were also staying there. The food was buffet style and typical, but when I went there for dinner the night before the food was great, and a little on the higher end price wide. The hotel was also pricier than most but sits right next to the Grand River and the view was great.

MAX! The manager i believe was above and beyond outstanding!!! Greeted with a smile and he asked why we were visiting its our anniversary he made sure we had an upgraded room and gave us free snacks and drinks. It was the best experience i have ever had checking in to a hotel. He gave great food and bar and brewery suggestions as well as taxi services. I don’t normally write reviews for hotels but he deserves this review. I also met the cleaning lady she was extremely sweet and kind. Felt like a family atmosphere. My husband and i love it here it’s close to downtown and right on the marina. Great views. Indoor and outdoor pools. Picnic tables and games. We love it here!! Thank you Max for everything! You made our anniversary that much better!

I would love to give a shout out to Chris, the gentleman who maintains the pool. I got the pool hours wrong (which are clearly marked in several locations). I came down at 7:00 a.m hoping to swim a few laps before the rest of my family woke up. I arrived while he was going about his duties. I apologized for my confusion and was ready to walk on the treadmill instead. However, Chris dropped what he was doing and insisted I swim. He graciously opened up the pool for me and was incredibly kind! What a great man and ambassador for the hotel. Thank you again, for your generosity sir! Also, Angela at the front desk was amazing! She was incredibly friendly and helpful with information. She always had a smile and was very welcoming. Thank you both for making our stay so enjoyable!

1. Check-in was fast & easy. Miss Angela was kind, heart-warming, and very welcoming. 2. The room was smaller than we expected, but we didn't plan on hanging out in the room for our trip. The bathtub faucet leaked just a little and it worked just fine when we took showers and kids took baths. 3. Miss Stephanie at Burger Theory was a delight. She interacted with our kids and even made coloring sheets for them during dinner. The kids loved her. 4. The pool was chilly, but what do you expect near Spring Lake in the dead of winter and glass windows surrounding it. Nonetheless we had a blast. The pool shower never got warm as we tried to rinse off. 5. Breakfast for $12.50 during the off-season was ridiculous. Probably the only negative. Thankfully kids were free because there wasn't much to choose from. You could have easily gone into Grand Haven or Chick-fil-A for a more delicious/filling meal. However, Miss Amari (hopefully I spelled her name correctly) was wonderful! She engaged in conversation with our kids and even helped them with any questions they had. Our kids adored her. 6. Check-out was easy. 7. It was an easy drive to downtown Grand Haven, Holland, & an easy walk to Spring Lake to see the Christmas lights. 8. We would stay here again 100%, but go elsewhere for breakfast. 😁
